Sometimes I worry about designers. I mean, sometimes I’ll look at a product and wonder what need is being filled by this one. Once that is established, I’ll move on to trying to figure out why on Earth it was designed in the way it was.
The iPad’s size makes it a great portable computer. I think 10 inches is the sweet spot for browsing and watching videos. Unfortunately it also makes for an unwieldy gadget that’s hard to hold on to without a case.
I really like my iPad and while I do take it with me at times for playing games or reading, mostly I use it around the house for watching videos and such. There are apps available that will let you use the iPad as a second screen for your Mac or PC, but for that to be effective you need some sort of a stand.
If you’re getting annoyed with your touchscreen devices, instead of getting a Crackberry, why not try this ultra-tiny keyboard with your existing gadgets?
As is often the case with strange and unusual gadgets, this one comes to us courtesy of Brando and is perfect for “travel, school, or any other working environment with a Bluetooth enabled laptop“.
I got many of the ideas for torturing my brother as a kid from Looney Tunes. In several of the cartoons, the characters shot plungers from a bow and arrow at people who bothered them. I once stuck a plunger to my brother’s face and it actually did stick.
For many of us, LEGOs are just plain cool, or at least they were when we were kids. Now brickfans can add another item to their collection of blocky stuff with these cool LEGO wallets.
These LEGO wallets are pretty nifty, and the ones with the baseplates on the side can actually be customized with any bricks you care to attach.
Maxconsole got a couple of videos from console-modders XCM showing the latter’s prototype light gun for the PS3. It’s basically half of a PS3 controller stuck to a light gun. I think XCM is shooting for a controller that’s compatible with all shooters, hence the need to come up with something with a sizable amount of buttons.
You’ve probably got a bunch of peripherals that need to be plugged into USB ports. There are plenty of hubs out there, but until now, none of those hubs had enough ports for me. That’s until the 24-port USB hub came out.
If you’re into playing with LEGO minifigs, here’s a great find for making your little LEGO characters just a wee bit more dangerous than just a choking hazard.
The guys over at Brickarms make a variety of custom-molded miniature weaponry to put into the hands of your minifigs.
The MI6 would do well to hire the guys at Sruli Recht, because this classy pocket square is a must-have for stylish spies like 007. Called “The Damned”, the pocket square is proof… Bulletproof.
The Damned is made of “military grade ballistic protective aramid fiber”, made “to protect the hearts of men.”
With temperatures quickly plummeting, you’ll be glad to heat up your behind with this USB seat cushion warmer.
You can choose to sit on a brown bear or a pink sheep, both shaped like a flower for some reason.
One of the best (and easiest) ways to leave your unique stamp on your guitar playing is by keeping a few really sweet picks around. Note, please, that this only applies to actual guitars–not the little plastic variety.
You’ve been stealing glances at each other the whole night. All you see is that hot little number with the shiny red dress, everything else is black and white. She finishes her drink, and sashays off to the terrace, the light bouncing off her hips as they sway.
