One thing that men and women stress about constantly is acne. We live in a pretty shallow society where people are often judged by their looks. The unfortunate thing about acne is that, aside from being painful when it’s at its worse, is that it also leave unsightly marks when it heals. 

“Gamification” has become a buzzword in the past few years, referring to the incorporation of levels, achievements and other congratulatory statistical landmarks in real-life activities to encourage participation. Don’t worry, I too, did not understand what I just said.

I guess that since Pebble was so popular thanks to their highly successful Kickstarter funding drive, it’s only a matter of time before the market of smartwatches becomes flooded with new products. The Cookoo takes a unique approach by combining an analog watch with a smartphone interface.

I would imagine the people at Facebook weren’t happy when users of the social network began uploading huge amounts of photos using Instagram. Eventually, they gave in and bought Instagram outright for $1 billion to turn a competitor into an asset.

I’ve always thought that iPads are underused when it comes to handwriting and sketching purposes – mostly because of their lack of a precise and comfortable stylus. But even without the perfect input device, FiftyThree just released their awesome sketching and writing app for iPads.

OS X Lion borrowed several features from iOS, like the Home-Screenish Launchpad and the annoying “natural scrolling,” which many of us have disabled. The necessity of any of those new features is debatable, but developer PilotMoon found an iOS trick that still makes sense in a desktop UI: the contextual menu that pops-up when you highlight text.

You know how the line between the digital world and the real one sometimes fades into a blur? A clear indication of this happening is when you start thinking of coffee as power-ups and mean bosses as the evil super-villains out to get you (with some extra paperwork.)

Space Invaders never seems to get old, as proven by this clock app and game for iOS devices. Space Timeders will let you waste good time before going to bed. The game is fun and the idea is pretty cool.
