After years of thinking about it, I finally bit the bullet and ordered a custom MAME cabinet for my basement. It’s finally coming next week, so I can’t wait to try and beat these guy’s Donkey Kong high scores.

As a video game fanatic, I really loved the movie Wreck-it-Ralph. While there were some actual arcade games in the movie, the machines at the center of the story were all imaginary. Perhaps the most iconic game in the movie is Fix It Felix Jr.,

Man, I broke so many arcade records back in the day, but one game that I was never very good at was Missile Command. The game was released in arcades in 1980, and later that year on the Atari 2600.

A while back I came across a Pac-Man-themed bathroom that was pretty great. But since it was a commercial establishment, it had no shower. But if that inspired you to make your own Pac-Man bathroom at home, you should definitely consider a Pac-Man shower curtain to start things off.

While it’s not quite as interactive as the Etch-a-Sketch belt buckle, this arcade coin slot belt buckle is even better, in my humble opinion. This belt buckle was designed by Seattle’s if Industries, and not only does it feature a genuine recycled arcade coin slot, it actually lights up.

The Pianocade is the embodiment of chiptune music. It’s a synthesizer that looks and works like an arcade controller, down to the analog joystick and token buttons.

Arcade machines are a part of a generation gone by. With arcade centers closing left and right, a lot of nostalgic gamers have taken to building or buying their own machine for home use. I’m sure many arcade fans would want to preserve the loud and garish old school look of the machines, but if you’re looking for something more subtle check out the Replay Arcade.

I can remember years ago standing in the game store in the mall playing the demo NeoGeo machine and wanting one so bad I could hardly stand it. I remember that original NeoGeo arcade system console being insanely expensive for the time.
