Retro gamers looking for the perfect thing to hang on the wall, look no further! This Space Invaders chalkboard is a great combination of gamer art with practical utility.

Say the words Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Centipede, Galaga or Joust, and you’ve just named some of my all-time favorite arcade games. So when I stumbled onto these unusual variants of these 1980s classics, I was at once befuddled and at the same time intrigued.

Retro arcade fans with a sweet tooth will want to pop on over to the NeatoShop and grab a box of these Pac-Man arcade candies, created in the shape of everyone’s favorite yellow dot-gobbling puck-man.

Growing up in the 80s means I spent a good bit of time in an arcade playing video games. I was always more of a Pac-Man or Pole Position type of junkie, but I did generally creep over and play a couple games of pinball in between pixelated plays. 

I think I must have spent at least 5,000 hours and 50,000 quarters in arcades playing video games when I was growing up. These days, the only games I get to play are on my home consoles or my iPad.

There are already a couple of add-ons on the market or in the works to equip your iOS gadgets with a joystick. I actually have one of the original iCade units for my iPad and it’s pretty cool.

Sometimes it’s hard to decide between alcohol and gaming. The two don’t mix very well. What if there was a convenient way that you could have both? There is. The Arkeg will deliver arcade gaming and a keg in one unit.

Since Japan can’t help but get all kinds of cool things that the rest of the world can’t have, they’ve decided to further their reputation of being awesome by showing us the Pokemon Tretta Arcade Game.  

Fans of the old Super Nintendo Entertainment System will immediately recognize the cartridge in the slot below as that of the classic The Legend of Zelda. But what’s cool about this custom-built arcade cabinet is that it plays any SNES cartridge, while looking awesome.

Nothing says 1980s like Pac-Man. If I had saved all of the quarters I pumped into that game, I would be a very rich man, but I wouldn’t have such fond memories of the game. Too bad I didn’t save just enough quarters to buy this awesome mosaic Pac-Man table.

As a classic video game buff, I always thought about buying myself some Tetris bookshelves for my office. But now that I’ve seen this, I might go with a Pac-Man theme instead.

The new Sony PS Vita portable gaming console recently launched worldwide, so if you are lucky enough to have one you have probably been enjoying games like Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Whether you like the Vita or not, here is a cool fight stick mod that you will want to check out.

I love vintage arcade games. I love the art on the cabinets, I love the sound they make and I love the games. Probably because I grew up with them. There’s nothing quite like those great big buttons and that stiff joystick… Okay, that just sounds strange.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a really cool video game inspired quilt, so I was happy when I saw this one, which looks just like the game screen from the original Donkey Kong.
