When John Leung of Australia’s Clarke Hopkins Clarke architects first sent me details on this unusual clock, I thought – “how the heck do you tell time on that?” Well, it turns out that the Parallel of Time clock is actually an assemblage of multiple clock faces, precisely coordinated and connected via parallel cables.

Architect Laurinda Spear created the design for this analog watch that uses a series of turning discs instead of traditional hands. The timepiece’s three independently revolving rings are used to display hours, minutes and seconds. A gap in each ring indicates the current time.
