Would you trust a robot to give you a tattoo? What you’re looking at here is the “world’s first tattoo by an industrial robot.” Notice how tightly the person getting the tattoo is strapped to the chair.
Robots are slowly but surely taking all of our jobs. Even jobs that we thought were safe – like being an artist. e-David is a robotic painter developed by the University of Konstanz in Germany. It takes photographs, then uses its software to develop a unique set of brush strokes to make a one-of-a-kind painting of the subject.
Not content to just take our medical and factory jobs, robots are now eying the art field, with an emphasis on creating caricatures. After robots one day hit the street and earn money by drawing people, caricature will become a lost art to humans.
