Video game DLC is rampant these days with game developers sometimes launching add-on packs and items the day the video game launches. That always irritates me because it seems like that content should be included with the game I just spent $60 on.
Assassin’s Creed is one of the cooler video game franchises out there. I particularly liked the Black Flag installment and played it a lot. Mostly I floated around, sinking ships and stealing islands from the British.
You have completed every Assassin’s Creed game that has been released so far. You have the costumes. You live and breath the game. Why not brand the insignia of the Assassin Order into your flesh? Seems like the logical next step to me.
Fans of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will recognize the sword here right away. It’s the sword used by the hero of the game, Edward Kenway, and now you can own one just like it. This replica sword is made out of latex rather than metal so you can use it in all your mock sword fights, and take it to cosplay parties without risk of stabbing someone (or yourself).
…or do wear it. I don’t know anymore. Ubisoft’s take on assassins morphed from a dude who was at least trying to be discreet to death-dealing mob lords and empire-building pirate captains. So a large ring marked with the Assassins’ symbol – why do they even have a symbol anyway?
I didn’t even know they were working on a movie for Assassin’s Creed. I’m always leery to hear a movie studio is producing a movie based on a video game. It’s not that I don’t think video games don’t have a good enough story to make a movie because many do.
The very talented case modder Javier Riquelme customized several PlayStation 3 consoles for Sony, who in turn gave them as gifts to its partner developers and publishers. With the exception of what seems to be Javier’s trademark flourish, each console looks radically different and suited to its theme.
Ahoy assassin! If you thought the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Hidden Blade Replica was too flamboyant, perhaps the blade’s updated version will be more to your liking. Made by McFarlane Toys, this life-size replica forgoes the shiny PVC vambrace for a simpler one made of leather.
Let’s be honest, Hollywood doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to adapting video game properties to movies. I’m looking directly at you Dwayne Johnson and that sorry excuse for a Doom movie. Now we have a couple more video game movies set to go into production starring some big names.

Let’s get on with it now that we’ve got the definitions out of the way.
You’ve got your hands – or wrist – on a replica of the hidden blade. Now pretend to be any of the Assassins from the Brotherhood. But if you’re aiming for a Connor impression, you’ll also need this: a replica of his distinctive tomahawk.
You can easily find instructions to make your own Assassin’s Creed-style hidden blade, but if you don’t have the skills to put one together, check out this life-sized replica by prop maker NECA. It’s not made from steel, but I think we can all agree that that’s a plus.
Check out this new video which shows off some new in game footage from Assassin’s Creed III. We’ve seen still images and teasers before, but there are plenty of new things to see in this 3 minute-long clip.
The big news lately is that the latest Assassin’s Creed game is set during the American Revolution. And now we have an official trailer, which shows us that the tomahawk that Ratohnaké:ton is carrying is not just for decoration.
