ASUS just held an event in Taiwan announcing the availability of its Zenbo robot. Starting on January 1st, customers in the country can get their own Zenbo robot for between $620 and $780(USD). At the launch event, ASUS did something that is simultaneously cute and terrifying.

ASUS has officially unveiled the ZenWatch 3. This is the company’s latest Android Wear effort and it also marks the first time the company has released a smartwatch with a round face. It looks pretty stylish compared to others on the market, and also thinner than some of the other round smartwatch models out there.

Asus announced a bunch of new products at the Computex 2016 technology expo in Taiwan, but probably the oddest and coolest thing is probably their new cute house robot called Zenbo. Zenbo is a household assistant and companion robot that can move independently around the house, recognize faces, play games with kids, read stories and more.

It used to be that when you said “laptop dock,” all it meant was additional ports and connectivity options. Then came PCI-E adapters that let you use desktop graphics cards with laptops, one of the latest examples being Alienware’s Graphics Amplifier.

ASUS’ Republic of Gamers blog recently shared this kick-ass PC case. Made by Han Yu aka Little Hand, the Strix Knight takes its inspiration from the logo of ASUS’ Strix graphics cards, “strix” being the Greek word for owl.

Smartwatches are cool, mostly because they fulfill our sci-fi fantasies, instead of for any practical reasons, but they’re not without flaws. Most of them, as far as watches go, are pretty bloody ugly. The Motorola Moto 360 isn’t bad, and Apple’s entry into the field is beautiful, even if it is made by a pretentious company that designs its products to be near-impossible to repair.

On the eve of this year’s Computex international computer and technology fair, ASUS announced two desktop PCs with an optional component that can save both themselves and other gadgets. Both the upcoming G10 and M51 computers will support the ASUS Power Pack, an optional 6,000 mAh external battery pack that doubles as the computers’ UPS.

The cheap tablet wars are heating up with a new offering from Asus that will be launching soon called the MeMO Pad. The little tablet has a seven-inch screen and run Android 4.1 for the operating system.

There’s something about miniaturized gadgets that’s very appealing. This new router was unveiled by ASUS at CES 2013, and they claim that it’s the smallest router ever made. They’re probably right, because this thing is tiny.

I don’t know when I started liking camo-patterned stuff, but it was a long time ago. I’ve got plenty of US army pants and shirts to prove my obsession. As camo goes, the digital camo on these headphones looks pretty good and while it won’t protect you from getting fragged, you’ll still look good.

The evidence that Japan is working on making giant robots real continues to pile up. Naoki Maru is known in Japan for his King Kizer series of robots, has developed a motion-controlled version that he calls Real King Kizer.

Hasbro owns the Transformers brand, and they are now suing Asus over the name of its latest tablet, the Transformer Prime, which clearly has nothing to do with the franchise. Crappy movies are okay, just don’t use two words in the English dictionary that we have previously used, because we own those words.

Actually, I would not call this a sleeve at all. It’s more like a flip cover to protect the screen of the Asus Transformer Prime from scratches. In my mind, a sleeve is something that goes all the way around a tablet.
