Because innovation is everywhere, sports manufacturer Wilson recently unveiled its 3D Airless Basketball prototype, a new basketball created as near to the specifications of its official game-used NBA balls but with no air. Or leather. Or the same aerodynamics since it’s filled with holes.

With the team colors and logos of six different NBA teams, these Pac-Man Entry Grade Model Kits are the perfect addition to any video game and sports fanatic’s collection. The models, being released by Bandai Namco this spring, require no paint or glue and can be assembled straight from the box.

Because who plays video games without sneakers to match their console, Sony has teamed up with Nike and basketball player/lifelong Playstation fan Paul George to create a Playstation 5 inspired colorway for George’s PG5 basketball shoes.

Sorry NBA players. You are on the way out. Once they perfect basketball robots that is. This guy is the first step. Check out some videos below of the Toyota Engineering Society’s CUE 3 humanoid robot, a robot designed to shoot baskets with “nearly 100 percent accuracy.”

Most of us didn’t get the limited edition Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 self-lacing shoes when the came out in 2017. Well, now we have another chance. Nike recently unveiled a new version that is more advanced, and thankfully, more affordable.

Well, it looks like Transformers are becoming a real thing if this basketball drone is any indication. But is it an Autobot or a Decepticon? It is definitely more than meets the eye. That’s all I know for sure.

When I was a kid, I used to play the heck out of that Mattel Pocket Football game. I always sucked at kicking, but I was quite adept at running down the field fast as hell.

Nike’s PG2 shoe was created in collaboration with Sony and is obviously inspired by the PlayStation. It is basketball player Paul George’s new signature shoe. George plays for the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder and is also an avid gamer.

Filmmaker Devin Graham and Cinechopper got together to perform some cool trick shots using drones. Cinechopper customized the drones to carry and drop bowling balls, which allowed them to do some stuff in a bowling alley and much more.

At the June 8 match between the Phoenix Mercury and the Indiana Fever, the WNBA introduced a new camera that put viewers incredibly close to the action on court. Made by Broadcast Sports Inc., the “ref cam” is a small camera that takes video from the referee’s perspective.

Every year at the end of March, basketball fans go crazy as the March Madness collegiate basketball tournaments kick off to find the top team in all the land. I know several people who take off the entire week just so they can sit home and watch basketball games all day.

Basketball is one of my favorite sports, although that doesn’t mean that I’m necessarily good at it. For the most part, I enjoy watching people play, probably because most of the shots I throw up end up being air balls.
