Looking for the perfect thing to greet guests in your foyer? Screw the potted plants and wall art and go for something a bit more dramatic. If I had the money kicking around (and my wife wouldn’t throw me out of the house for doing it,) I’d totally want this full-size Bioshock Big Daddy and Little Sister in my entryway.
Bioshock is still one of my favorite games of the last decade, so I was disappointed to hear that Bioshock 3 had been delayed until February 2013. At least I’ve got something to cheer me up for a few minutes of the extended wait.
I’m very much looking forward to the next installment in the BioShock series. The third game in the series is being developed by Irrational Games and will be published by 2K Games. The game is called BioShock Infinite and game creator Ken Levine recently offered up some words to the guys at Kotaku to stoke your geek lust until the game launches in October of 2012.
While video games are a blast, sometimes it’s still fun to sit around the coffee table with friends and play a board game. But the fact that you’re playing a board game doesn’t mean you still can’t be playing a video game at the same time – like with the Monopoly: Rapture Edition.
Looking for an awesome outfit for cosplay, but don’t have the time (or artistic talents) to create something from scratch? Well look no further than the pages of Etsy for this most-excellent BioShock 2 Big Sister costume that’s recently turned up.
BioShock fans, get ready to bust out your wallets so you can cover your desktop with a whole bunch of cool action figures. While I’ve always been enamored of Big Daddy Bouncer, I have a hard time deciding which of the other toys I need to get my grubby little mitts on.
If you were planning on scaring the crap out of your friends this Halloween by dressing up as one of the many creepy characters from the Bioshock universe, you’ll have to nix the welder mask-wielding Splicer from your list – at least this year.
Casemods can be cool and often they are very ornate things that I couldn’t hope to replicate because I lack the talent for artistic things. Now a modder going by the moniker “sirleechalot” has shown off his new Bioshock casemod, and this one not only looks cool, it’s something that I think I could build.
I guess you don’t have to put this up in your kid’s nursery, but that’s the first place that jumps to mind when I see a mobile hanging from the ceiling. Of course this Bioshock mobile might give your young one permanent nightmares, so you might want to be careful about where you hang it.
While most of you were probably busy this past weekend killing splicers with your drill and protecting Little Sisters, one Bioshock fan out there was doing something a bit more productive.
While you were all sitting on your couches upgrading your plasmids, crafter Nerdigurumi (I love that name) got out the yarn and crocheted up this awesome little Big Daddy Bouncer in amigurumi form.
PC gamers! Interested in getting Bioshock 2 but haven’t played Bioshock yet? 2Kgames is offering a free copy of the original Bioshock for if you pre-order the upcoming sequel via online distributors.
You can pre-order the game at Direct2Drive or Steam for $45 (USD).
It looks like there are Big Daddies for all sorts of BioShock fans: cobbled-together Big Daddies, beaded Big Daddies, and even edible Big Daddies (which look great, despite the appetite-killing mental image), and now? A sculpted version.
Once upon, Rapture might have been an okay place. Sure, that was before our time, but isn’t it always nice to remember the good ol’ days? These lovely BioShock-inspired earrings allow you to do just that, but with class.
You can say a lot of things about BioShock’s Big Daddies. Cuddly really isn’t on that list; the hulking metal protectors are, in fact, pretty anti-cuddly. But all it takes to soften them up a little, it seems, are a few beads.
