Wow, time flies when you’re having fun. Can you believe that it’s been five years since the Xbox LIVE online service got its start? It seems like only yesterday, but on November 15, 2002, Microsoft’s groundbreaking online gaming platform made its debut as an add-on to the original Xbox.

It just dawned on me that Technabob just hit its one year anniversary! That’s right, it was just about a year ago that I posted my very first story, and now I’m approaching my 1,000th. In that time, Technabob has gone from a handful of visits from family and friends to over 100,000 readers each month from all around the globe.

Wondering what Nintendo might fill up all of those available channel slots with on the Wii? Artist-designer Paul Pape has come up with this interesting vision for a new channel, the Wii Bday Channel. The fake channel is actually a 30th birthday greeting that Pape created for a friend of his (who happens to be a fan of The Doors, hence the music.)
