Tokyoflash Barcode Watch: Back in Black

Tokyoflash Barcode Watch: Back in Black
Technabob favorite TokyoFlash revealed their latest ultra modern digital watch this week. Previously available only in Japan, their Barcode Black watch features a dramatic black case with a solid black stainless steel band. Four columns of bright blue LEDs dot the front to tell the time in Tokyoflash’s typically offbeat way.

Fan Displays Moving Images on Spinning Leds
ThinkGeek is at it again. This time they’re offering up a fan which can load up animated GIF files from your computer and display them in full color on the blades of the fan. Inspired by those light-up LED spinner rims that might have turned up on Pimp My Ride, The LED Art Fan hooks up to your computer via a serial connection, and lets you download up to 128 frames of art into its internal memory.

Pocket Hero Fans Help You Keep Your Cool

Pocket Hero Fans Help You Keep Your Cool
Although these little devices might look a little like those Mimobot memory sticks, they’re actually compact fans that you can pop in your pocket. Hero Handy Fans run on two AAA batteries, and feature a soft plastic fan blade that’s guaranteed not to chop off any appendages.

Tokyoflash Eleeno LCD Watch has Me Scratching My Head
Leave it to the high-tech watch guys over at Tokyoflash to create another totally baffling digital watch design. Their new Eleeno EG3 features a colored grid of LCDs, masked by a layer of raised glass “windows”.

USB Light Up Animals: So Cute, I Wanna Puke
Here are some little desktop creatures you can plug into your computer to amp up the saccharin factor of your cubicle. Just put one or more of these guys next to your “Hang in there, baby” poster, and you’ll be sure to warm even the coldest hearts in the office.

Wii Crystal Cooler Stand: Today’s Blue Light Special

Wii Crystal Cooler Stand: Today’s Blue Light Special
Most gamers in the know will tell you that the Nintendo Wii doesn’t really require any supplemental cooling. But this cooling stand not only reduces the temperature of your Wii, it makes it LOOK cooler. Imported by Hong Kong’s Brando, the Wii Crystal Cooler is a special stand that not only adds a high velocity fan to the underside of your console, it adds extra-bright blue LED illumination around the base of the system, giving it an otherworldly glow.

Cool Blue LED Clock With Flipping Numbers

Cool Blue LED Clock With Flipping Numbers
Here’s another nifty LED clock out of Japan. This one features animated numbers that “flip” as each digit changes. The square blue LED pixels gradually change to the next number simulating a scrolling effect. It’s definitely a pretty large clock, measuring 17.7″(w) x 4.33″(h) x 2″(d), and is designed to be easily wall-mounted.

Retro Mod Round Dot LED Clocks From I.D.E.a.

Retro Mod Round Dot LED Clocks From I.D.E.a.
Cool LED clocks keep popping up on the radar lately, and this week I came across these nifty round LED alarm clocks out of Japan. Designed for I.D.E.A., the clocks feature round LED pixel dots instead of traditional segments, and look great in either brilliant blue or green variants (they also come in traditional red if you prefer.)

Giant Pixel LED Alarm Clock

I’m not sure what my fascination is with LED clocks these days, but there’s just something appealing about their minimalism and sheer ease of use. So that said, here’s another one to check out if you’re in the market for a cool looking clock.

Create 3d Images the Old School Way

Create 3d Images the Old School Way
With all the talk about pixel shaders, normal mapping and HDR lighting, sometimes I just wish for a kinder, gentler time when 3D meant watching a bad science fiction movie through a pair of cheap, headache-inducing red and blue glasses.

Turn Your Walls Into a Starfield

Turn Your Walls Into a Starfield
Sick of the same four white walls? This new projection gadget might just help you make that room a little less drab. The Laser Stars Projector will take a plain white room and turn it into a twinkling, ever changing starfield (assuming you turn off the lights.)

LED Wristwatch Looks Cool, Impossible to Read

LED Wristwatch Looks Cool, Impossible to Read
TokyoFlash Japan can always be relied upon for the latest in funky digital timepieces, and the new JLr7 LED Abstract Watch is no exception. The JLr7 (which gets its name from the top row of LEDs on the watch) displays a series “L”-shaped LED (either in green or blue) segments which reveal the current time in a sufficiently difficult to read way that you’ll need to refer to the diagram below to have any hope of figuring out what time it is.
