I realize that a lot of Borderlands fans love Claptrap, but I’ve always found him to be more annoying than anything. It’s that voice. Still, I can’t help but see this Claptrap Talking Car Charger as adorable and I kind of want to buy one.
I truly enjoy the Borderlands franchise. The cartoonish graphics are cool and the games are lots of fun to play. If you are a fan of Nisha the Sheriff in Borderlands 2, here is your chance for some sexy and easy cosplay.
Etsy shop MiraCrafts not only makes chocobos, it also has bounty from Pandora. Shop owner Marika can hand sculpt – or at least she’ll try to – any character, weapon or item from the Borderlands series into a 3D pendant.
This stained glass Claptrap lamp is pretty awesome. I don’t think it will be as annoying as the in-game version of Borderlands’ topheavy robot. At least I hope so. He will actually do something useful, like provide you with light.
MOCer Simon Liu is a big fan of Borderlands, so he built a life-size Claptrap for this year’s Brickworld Chicago. It’s not remote-controlled and it doesn’t have a fridge, but it does have a Pick A Brick cup lid for an eye.
Borderlands is one of my all time favorite video game franchises. I love looting and shooting stuff, so it’s a natural favorite for me. I always liked Claptrap better than all the other characters – a snarky robot is right up my alley.
If you were envious of cosplayer Kirameku’s custom made Nisha the Lawbringer pants, mosey on to Etsy shop Déjà Neuf Heures and inquire about their cel-shaded, Borderlands-inspired women’s pants. They’re made of cotton and polyester and are stretchy and comfy.
Whether you find Claptrap annoying or endearing, I think we can all agree that we would like to own a lifesize replica of the smart-mouthed robot from the Borderlands games. At least this version won’t talk and talk.
…and neither is that free machine that Handsome Jack promised to give to the citizens of Opportunity. That said, what 2K Games is offering in its Borderlands Handsome Jack Loot Contest is still pretty sweet and it could all be yours for free.
2K Games is giving Xbox One and PS4 owners one heck of a deal with its Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. It consists of remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel plus all of their currently released DLC, all for the price of one game.
A Borderlands fan got a funny and thoughtful proposal in the form of this well made ring box, which was made to look like a loot chest from the irreverent first-person shooter. It even has the colorful information pop up, complete with funny quotes and stats.
As part of her Nisha the Lawbringer costume, cosplayer Kirameku wonderfully painted a pair of jeans to give it Borderlands’ cel-shaded look. From certain angles it looks 96.5% more two-dimensional.
You can see a couple of in-progress shots of the jeans as well as Kirameku’s other costumes on her Tumblr and Facebook page.
Claptrap is kind of annoying. Cute, but annoying. The robot from Borderlands has a grating voice, he follows you everywhere, and spends way too much time beatboxing. I complain, but the game wouldn’t be the same without him.
I mentioned yesterday when I came across those the sweet Game of Thrones house sigil snowflakes that I had just started watching the series. I’m quite hooked now and I think it’s great news that a video game based on the epic HBO series is coming.
Borderlands is a fun game series, and I really don’t hate Claptrap. It’s just that this little robot is so annoying that I sometimes want to unload clip after clip of ammunition into his metal body, then burn it.
