Introduced in the early 1980s, three models from HP’s much-loved 10c series calculators get a savvy transition to the 21st century with their iPhone app counterparts. The 12c and the 12c Platinum are both financial calculators, while the 15c – an out of production calculator so in demand 2nd hand units sell for as much as $400 bucks – is a high-end scientific calculator.

Casio’s limited edition calculator watch is so nerdy it should be a character in The Big Bang Theory. Fortunately, it has been infused with G-Shock toughness, which somewhat offsets its bully magnet looks. Available in 4 nerdtastic colors, it has data storage capabilities and a calculator, as well as a currency converter and a calendar.

This might look like an ordinary calculator on the surface, but if you dig deeper, you’ll discover that this oddity from Japan not only can do math, it can tell you and your significant other what your future will hold.

One of the rarest bits of gadget history you can find, this beautiful specimen of the highly collectible Hewlett-Packard HP01 LED calculator watch is available for auction over on eBay. There’s just over 2 hours left in the auction so if you want to get your geek on, you’d better get your bids in fast!

I can’t decide what I like best about this “unique” calculator from Japan. I’m torn between the keyboard that’s arranged into a completely non-standard configuration that’s sure to trip up even the speediest touch-typists, or the calculator’s oh-so-special random crash mode.

Let me start by saying that I’m really looking forward to playing in the virtual sandbox of the upcoming Little Big Planet for the PS3 when it hits stores later this month. But I could never imagine building something as amazingly intricate as this.

I have no idea what the story is behind this set of numeric keypad/calculator chairs is, but I do know I think it’s super cool! I wish so badly that I could explain the rationale behind this or tell you whether or not it’s concept art or a commercial product, but I still haven’t learned how to read Japanese characters.

I don’t usually get too excited over the prospects of owning a new calculator, but sometimes industrial design just reaches out and speaks to me. Such is the case with designer Theo Williams’ new Jet Calculator from LEXON.

It takes some really striking design to get me excited about something as mundane as a desktop calculator, but the designer who created this one has bowled me over. The clear, ice-like acrylic case inspired the name “Alaska” for this LCD calculator.

Here’s a combo gadget that seems like a pretty good idea on paper, but I don’t know how practical it really is. This USB device from Lexibook mixes an optical mouse, a calculator and a numeric keypad in a single package.

Have a sweet tooth? Well don’t try to bite into this chocolate bar or you’ll get a mouth full of plastic and glass. This may look frighteningly like a real chocolate bar, but it’s actually a pocket calculator.

Even though we all know by now that the Nintendo Wii will retail for $249.99 USD when it launches this November, that’s never the amount you really spend once you buy all your games and accessories.
