Mythbusters may be over, but Adam Savage never seems to rest. He is always creating new and cool things. His latest project was to build a seat for his dogs that could go in the back of his brand new car and protect the leather interior.
When my kids were small enough that they had to be in car seats or boosters, we never went anywhere that we didn’t have our car or a seat for them. I never really thought about what you do when traveling with small kids that need a car seat and your only transportation is a taxi or car you hire.
A lot of parents find it difficult to strap their kids into the car seat because, well, the kids don’t really want to be strapped in for the ride in the first place. Safety comes first though, so the car seat is a non-negotiable issue.
A new car seat developed by the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology in Tokyo can automatically identify the person who is sitting on it. The seat uses a system of 360 pressure sensors that can remember what it feels like to be sat on by various people.
