Car makers want the latest and greatest technology in their cars. That includes not just what’s under the hood, but what’s in the dashboard as well. That means making cars friendly for your phones, tablets and more.
There are few cars quite as iconic as the late 1970s Pontiac Trans Am Black Bandit, complete with gold eagle wing hood details and a T-Top. As it was the car that Burt Reynolds drove in Smokey and the Bandit, it was certainly the chick magnet back in the day.
I guess it’s true that money can buy almost everything but happiness. You can buy a $92,000 frog-inspired watch, a bejeweled pen that’s priced at close to a million, and an 11-foot iOS dock with a price tag of around half a million dollars.
Most of us have our game consoles right next to our TVs, near the rest of our gear because we don’t have many other options. If you want the freedom to put it anywhere you like, including the car, MountMe has launched a new console mount that allows you to do just that.
There still aren’t that many cars on the road that are using LEDs for headlights though LED taillights are common today. BMW doesn’t care that LED headlights are still uncommon. It has been using them for a while now and is looking to the next thing in automotive lighting.
We here at Technabob aren’t exactly known for our automotive reporting, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like cool cars. Now, Ford is showing off a new car that combines sporty performance with the type of geeky technology we love to write about here.
There have been several versions of Mario Kart racers and most range from okay to pretty decent, but these Super Deluxe versions put the rest to shame. They are larger than the rest and they zip around super fast.
Yes, that is a giant brain in the back of the car you see here. The car is called Braincar (surprising right) and was designed by an artist names Olaf Mooij. The artist drives the car around during the day and the little black thing on top of the brain is a camera that records his travels.
Even though I saw Star Wars Episode I: Phantom Menace a few times, it remains my everyone’s least favorite Star Wars movie. That being said, it had some redeeming qualities, like Darth Maul and the pod racers.
If you’ve got a fancy high-end car, you might already have heated or even air-conditioned seats. But for those of us slumming it without such schmancy features in our rides, there’s now a way to keep our butts cool on even the hottest Summer days.
The Chevy Volt is a cool car if you are into the green vehicle movement. You can charge the batteries in the car up at night for full EV driving for short drives. The cool part is that you don’t have to worry about being stranded because the Volt has a gasoline motor that recharges the batteries when the driving range exceeds the charge.
If you’re a fan of toys like remote controlled cars and smartphones like I am, this BlueDrone toy will catch your attention. It’s like the rolling, wheeled version of the AR.Drone smartphone-controlled flying toy.
I will admit that while I have seen all of the Batman flicks they have all been crazy cheesy until Christian Bale took over in the recent Christopher Nolan-helmed films. Bale and Nolan took Batman and made it much more real and gritty.
I think you can agree with me, people are generally stupid. Put stupid behind the wheel and you get an idiot driver that will text, eat, and read all while doing 80 MPH down the highway in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
