We’ve all seen the Doctor Who chess sets that are available from online retailers. They’re cool and appropriately geeky, but they’re just too polished and slick and mass produced. This version is much better and at least it has some personality.
Ben Howard made this one of a kind chess set that will surely fill up the heart containers of Zelda fans with glee, featuring characters from various games in the series, including of course Princess Zelda as the good queen, Ganon as the bad king, and not one but two Links as good knights.
It’s always been about Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back for me. No matter what people say, I think it’s the most important film of the Star Wars saga. Even though I have to agree that Revenge of the Sith wasn’t all that bad, it was nowhere near as good as Empire, IMHO That being said, check out this neato LEGO Star Wars chess set, right out of Empire.
