Gadget customizer ColorWare already offers custom colors for the Xbox One and PS4 controllers, but it’s also been releasing limited edition graphics for both current gen controllers. Its latest offering is the DualShock 4 Ballistic, an awesome glossy brown fiber graphic inspired by Kevlar.

ColorWare’s patrons are clearly willing to pay a premium to own unique gadgets. Its Apple IIe-inspired Retro MacBook Air and iPhone 6s/6s Plus were such a hit that the company has given the same treatment to the 27″ Retina 5K iMac, along with the bundled mouse and keyboard.

Gold-plated Xbox One and PlayStation 4 case mods exist, but obviously they cost thousands of dollars. If you want your gaming system to have some of that shine yet still keep both of your kidneys, you might want to settle for ColorWare’s limited edition 24-karat gold-plated Xbox One controllers.

ColorWare usually promotes its services with boldly colored samples, but this time they’re taking a more laid back approach. Perhaps too laid back. Its MacBook Air Retro is a maxed out 13″ MacBook Air with a color scheme and accents inspired by the classic Apple IIe and a price tag inspired by Upworthy’s headlines.

The Roomba cleans your house, but who will keep the Roomba fresh and clean? ColorWare will. The company known for customizing computers, consoles and media players now customizes iRobot’s popular Roomba 780 robotic vacuum cleaner. They’ll even make it look like dirt if you want.

If you have your heart set on a custom painted iPhone 4S, you can have it, thanks to the guys at Colorware. However, you need to say your goodbyes to your first-born (and your left testicle) before ordering, as this phone is crazy, insanely expensive.

Now you can have a white iPhone 4, or even a red or a black or a technabob-themed one, because ColorWare is now offering to customize your iPhone 4. Who would’ve thought? Yeah, we all did.

ColorWare is certainly diversifying this year. They started out painting small gadgets, then consoles, then they started selling custom-colored HDTVs. Now they’re offering to color anyone who has a Segway i2, and of course they’re selling brand new ones as well.

Nearly all HDTVs have black frames, and I think that’s just fine – any other color and it would be distracting. But that’s just me. If you want your HDTV to be unique, or have it match the color of your walls or blend in with your furniture, you might want to call up the folks at ColorWare.

Or maybe even a Bondi Blue iPad. The de Blob of the gadget world, Colorware is pleased to announced that they’re now selling custom colored iPads. Colorware offers a wide range of colors for the iPad’s body, Apple logo and home button.

While the jury is definitely still out on whether or not the Sony’s new PS3 Slim looks better or worse than the PS3 Phat, we can all agree that it’s time that the PS3 got some colors besides black.

When it comes to their laptops, Apple has a bit of a sadistic side, adding neat features only to take them away soon after. For example, the Firewire port was a staple of the polycarbonate Macbooks, and then it was removed from the first Unibody 13.3″ Macbooks, only to be returned in the new 13.3″ Macbook (semi)Pros.
