To promote the upcoming release of its Mighty Bowser build set, LEGO went and constructed a massive 14-foot animatronic 1:1 scale replica of the reptilian villain, made up of over 663,900 pieces. Wow, now that’s a lot of pieces!
Holy SDCC exclusive Batman! Is there any better way to celebrate 75 years of Batman, than with this LEGO Super Heroes: DC Comics San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile? I don’t think so.
Unless you have been hiding in the sewer, having an endless pizza party, you know that a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is coming out on August 8th. To celebrate, Pizza Hut has commissioned a project that will debut at Comic-Con this week – one that combines your love of Turtles and pizza.
I have seen all the Batman movies that have hit theaters over the years. Most of them were cheesy, but Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight series was fantastic. Batman had the coolest Batmobile ever with the Tumbler.
As beautiful as this Harley Quinn wallet is, I don’t think I would ever trust her with my sensitive info. I mean, if you store your credit cards in this thing, she’s gonna be buying “Mister J” all kinds of stuff on Amazon on your dime.
ThinkGeek has just revealed one of its big toys for this year’s SDCC, and it’s a doozy. I always have thought of my TV remote as a zapper of sorts, so it only makes sense that you’d use a phaser to change channels.
Growing up in the ’80s it seemed like every year there were hoards of playsets that would launch based on some of the cool movies of the day. I have many fond memories of my Star Wars Ewok tree house playset.
Check out this awesome jacket made from Comic-Con swag bags. It looks like something the Riddler would wear. Or that guy who used to do late night infomercials, who also dressed like the Riddler. I think we have a new villain on our hands.
It has been about a year since Hasbro launched its own LEGO-style building sets under the name brand KRE-O. The first of those kits Hasbro offered were Transformers themed. The toy maker is back with a new line of KRE-O building sets that are officially licensed Star Trek kits, based on the J.J.
I would have never thought about combining Hello Kitty with Ghostbusters, but apparently somebody has. This custom proton pack was recently seen at this year’s NYC Comic Con. A lot of time went into it to make it look this good.
Check out Jennifer Landa’s fancy Death Star dress, that comes complete with galaxy tights and a TIE Interceptor serre-tête. I’m sure all Star Wars fans are going a bit loony over this, and I have to say that it looks pretty good.
Now that the dust has settled on 2010’s Comic-Con, it’s taking us a little time to digest all things awesome which surfaced at this year’s show. One of the greatest achievements of the show in my opinion is these most excellent Mass Effect 2 costumes by FyrielArt (aka Crabcat Industries).
Some of the cast of The Avengers movie showed up on stage at Comic-Con 2010:
So that’s Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), SHIELD Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Human Torch Lucas Lee Capt.
The XBLA hit Castle Crashers is set to come to PS3, according to an announcement at Comic-Con. PS3 owners everywhere let out a roar of approval, while Xbox 360 owners stomped around and demanded Noby Noby Boy in exchange.
