There are many robot puppy toys out there that are built for entertainment and companionship, but Tombot Robotics is offering something with a much more meaningful purpose – a realistic dog that will help seniors with their health.

Driving can get lonely. It helps to have a companion. Even if it isn’t human. That’s why Toyota has announced that it’ll sell its KIROBO Mini “communication partner robot” starting at the end of this year.

While I’m sure that the iMac is a great computer for many users, there’s just something that irks me about a desktop that’s made out of laptop parts. That being said, they still look pretty good, and have decent specs.

In an age where we expected robots to be all around us, it seems that even the elderly will be getting their own special robot. This odd-little robot named Sil-bot is the brainchild of KIST’s Center for Intelligent Robotics.
