This is the Ultimate Iron Man cosplay that you have been waiting for fans. Even Tony Stark himself would be envious of this armor. I know I am and I am not a billionaire armor maker like Stark.
Cosplayer Todd Whalen had his pictures taken as he dressed up as two fictional characters, though you might not recognize one without the other. It’s Peter Parker and his alter ego Spider-Man! But with the help of photographer Meg Super, Todd did manage to convey a Peter Parker vibe.
Over the years Batman’s suit has ranged from a form-fitting nylon leotard to lightweight carbon composites. But if Batman dwelled in medieval times, I bet he’d have worn something like this.
When you see cosplayers, sometimes you look beyond the beauty of their costumes and realize that many of these people combine art with sheer effort. Some costumes are not worn, but endured. I think I could say the same for this amazing GLaDOS cosplay by Athena Cole aka Enayla, who had herself suspended five feet off the ground to emulate the Portal villain’s appearance.
This Iron Man balloon armor is perfect. As long as you don’t run into any pin-wielding bad guys or bad guys with flamethrowers. Or if the air pressure around you doesn’t pop your suit. Okay, maybe it’s not that practical, but it is still awesome.
Wookiees are real. You could be forgiven if you believe that after seeing this epic Wookiee costume by Julian Checkley (aka Darth Serberus). This costume looks really amazing and authentic – and huge! This guy will rip your arm out of its socket for sure.
There’s cosplay and then there’s COSPLAY. If you’re serious about your costuming, and you’re into Batman, then you’ll want to start pinching your pennies now. Unless that is, you’re Bruce Wayne – then you can already afford to buy this stitch-perfect Batman cowl based on the one that Adam West wore in the 1960s TV series.
Everyone loves the Minions from Despicable Me. They will soften even the hardest of hearts. That must be why they are getting their own movie in 2014. To satisfy your craving for cute minions in the meantime, check out this fun collection of art featuring the Minions cosplaying other movie characters.
What happens when you combine the chattiness of Pinky Pie with Ghostbusters? You get this awesomely cute My Little Pony proton pack. It won’t capture ghosts, but it will turn that frown upside down.
The last cosplay I featured was very faithful to its source material. It was also legitimately creepy. This Toothless quad suit on the other hand may not be the most polished costume out there, but it is one of the most adorable ones I’ve ever seen.
A couple of weeks ago we saw a sweet Amazing Spider-Man costume that looks like he stepped out of a videogame or movie set. I’m not sure if Ryan Turney’s Spidey costume is superior to that one, but it is at least equally astonishing.
Check out this amusing cosplay of all of the Avengers assembled into one body, put together by Damon McNeill. I’m not sure if he couldn’t make up his mind or just wanted to shake things up.
A couple of years ago we saw a Final Fantasy cosplay that looked like an action figure come to life. This Darth Malgus cosplay on the other hand doesn’t just look like a life-size toy. Even though the costume is based on the Sith lord from the Star Wars: the Old Republic MMORPG, this dude looks like he stepped out of a Star Wars movie.
We’ve seen a lot of cool costumes over the years and many look amazing, but this Spider-Man costume may be the most movie accurate costume we’ve ever seen. It isn’t just the details, but the quality is simply amazing too.
I’m not a fan of Warhammer 40,000 myself, but this Blood Angels Space Marine costume looks so awesome, I want to check it out and see what I have been missing. Youtuber Pilerud scratch built this Warhammer 40K Space Marine Blood Angel Tactical Sergeant, 7th company, 9th squad, costume himself.
This beast is the latest creation from Marksprojects. He made this amazingly kick-ass “Bolt” costume inspired by the Transformers movies. This thing is completely insane. The way it lights up, the way it moves – he looks like a serious movie mech inside of it.
