In the realm of super-power gifting, Loki could have come up with something better than a hammer, even if it is a magic hammer. A magic sword, a magic ring, something. A hammer is just plain weird, but hey, whatever.

Yet another cool costume sighted at last week’s Ohayocon, this guy’s Team Fortress 2 Heavy costume is nearly perfect. The minigun and ammo belt are spot-on, and even the expression on the dude’s face is priceless.

The Silent Hill video game series always gave me the creeps. There aren’t too many games that made me jump out of my seat at times, but those games always had me on edge. Sure there was Pyramid Head, but they also had those really creepy Bubble Head Nurses starting in Silent Hill 2.

The Evangelion series spawned numerous anime, manga and video game franchises over the years, but I can honestly say this is the first time that it’s inspired a line of wet suits.

Doctor Who fans have got to love these awesome cosplay girls, all decked out as a Dalek and the Tardis.

I love Halloween. While I haven’t gone trick-or-treating in like a million years, just getting to see the creative costumes that geeks come up with every year makes me grin from ear-to-ear.

Worn by a serious StarCraft Ghost fan at this year’s BlizzCon, this incredible costume would look great, even if there weren’t a smokin’ hot girl wearing it – but that certainly doesn’t hurt. The costume features illuminated armor made from football pads, along with an accompanying bad-ass prop gun, crafted from what looks like a highly-modified NERF weapon.

Well, Halloween is coming up this weekend, and if you are a geek and you don’t have a Halloween costume yet, we have a few sweet ones to show you. Some of these things are so awesome it’s crazy.

If you were planning on scaring the crap out of your friends this Halloween by dressing up as one of the many creepy characters from the Bioshock universe, you’ll have to nix the welder mask-wielding Splicer from your list – at least this year.

I really liked the first Iron Man flick. My son was too young to go and see the original in the theater, but he wanted to go see the second flick back at the beginning of the summer.

I don’t’ spend much time looking at trash around my house thinking about ways I can reuse the stuff. I mostly just worry about the bag of trash leaking a line of milk or Dr. Pepper on the floor as I sprint to the door to take the bag to the can outside.

What the hell is Darth Vader doing dressed up in this Hello Kitty outfit? Well, it turns out that Hello Kitty Darth Vader is a Photoshopped fake, made by Count Dookie for  The Dented Helmet. He actually calls it the Sanrio Vader and I have to say that it’s not very scary.

I have to say that this Predator costume by Shawn Thorsson of Petaluma, CA, is really amazing. This costume was made for Halloween 2005, but this write-up and photos are recent. I wonder what Shawn will make for this year’s Halloween?

Not too long ago I mentioned that a dude had created the coolest Halloween costume ever and it was a life size power loader from Aliens the movie. That thing was epic and today we have another epic DIY costume created by a guy that is a large version of R2D2.

When it comes to DIY stuff, the most I can muster is following the directions well enough to bolt a new gadget together. If it comes to actually making all those parts you have to put together I know better than to try.

Link is one of the most cosplayed video game characters partly because his clothes and gear are relatively simple, but of course it takes extra effort to make a spot-on Link. The Zelda Project not only want to bring Link to life, they want to make an Ocarina of Time short film.
