A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was attacked in Orlando early Thursday by the Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Or at least a man wearing a Darth Vader mask. Had it been the real Vader, it would have ended with the officer being force choked.

I can’t keep track of how many releases and re-releases the Star Wars movies have seen since 1977, but the latest takes the cake burger. Lucky folks in France will be getting a special treat along with the less than appetizing re-release of The Phantom Menace in 3D.

Wanna play the Imperial March with a bit of Imperial merch? Well, if you are looking for a new speaker for your desktop, Funko’s Star Wars Darth Vader MP3 speakers are for you. The head of Darth Vader will play whatever you like, without James Earl Jones’ voice as a DJ.

Take a careful look at this bust of the Dark Lord of the Sith. Notice anything strange about it? Gaze deeply into Vader’s eyes. Look closer, and you’ll notice that it’s made from various bits and bobs of found junk from the cutlery drawer (and other antique stuff from your Nana’s house).

While you can already get Han Solo and R2-D2 ice cube trays, I guess the guys at Kotobukiya decided that it was time for the dark side to get into the ice cube business as well.

There’s a new exhibition featuring some pretty interesting Star Wars stuff coming to Canada in 2012. It’s called Star Wars: Identities. You will apparently get to know the characters of the Star Wars saga “on a whole new level”.

I am a huge ThinkGeek fan thanks to all the geeky cool stuff they have. My favorite thing ever is the Starship Enterprise pizza wheel. I actually own that, and each time I cut a pizza, I force the kids to hum the theme song.

If you’re a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy like me, then you’ll appreciate Russell Walks‘ limited-edition Star Wars poster, which is officially licensed by Lucasfilm. It features Darth Vader’s silhouette, and since Star Wars is all about Darth Vader, it should make you and your walls pretty happy.

This series of photos were shot by Sacha Goldberger, and they are entitled The Darks Part II. In it, a (anti-)superhero named Dark Papouka befriends Darth Vader and they have some fun together. Darth Vader tries to get into the superhero act by wearing his underwear on the outside of his outfit.

It’s too bad that my entire CD collection is packed away in boxes somewhere in my basement since I converted everything to digital files so I can just carry all my tunes in my pocket. Because if I still listened to CDs, I’d totally buy this Darth Vader CD player.

So why is it that every time I think that all possible ideas for new Star Wars merchandise have been 100% exhausted, someone comes out with yet another product which nobody ever thought about. Case in point, these R2-D2 mints.

Luke, these are your speakers. Major League Mods – who made the projector equipped R2-D2 Xbox 360 casemod – showed off this Star Wars themed sound system at the recently concluded New York Comic-Con. It has two TIE fighter speakers and a Darth Vader bust converted into an iPhone dock.

Yep, now even the walls are evil. The Imperial Forces wallpaper features portraits of your favorite Star Wars villains: Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers and Imperial Guards. Thankfully, the Star Wars element isn’t too in-your-face.

While I’ve always liked Darth Vader, I don’t think I ever would have thought about creating a hot air balloon out of his helmet. That’s what Belgian balloonists Benoit and Michel Lambert did when they commissioned Cameron Balloons to build this Darth Vader Balloon, after getting the official approval of Lucasfilm.

I am a fan of artwork that takes the movies and things from my youth that l liked and twists it a bit to make it into something else. Over on Etsy there is a dude going by the name Harshness that has a bunch of pop art based on some of my favorite childhood flicks.

It can get pretty tiring being a Sith Lord, and after a long day of evil-doing on the Dark Side of the Force, sometimes you just need a break. That’s why I found this series of photos, entitled Dark Holiday, by Nick Presniakov so funny.
