I don’t think that Darth Vader has needed a hair dryer for a very long time, unless you count the few years that he was still a Jedi apprentice. He did have pretty long, flowing locks back then.

Yesterday, a reader pointed out that the LEGO Death Star I mentioned had been available for a while. That was true, but it was pretty hard to find. Nevertheless, LEGO is planning on releasing Darth Vader’s super star destroyer Executor this September.

Ok, they’re not made out of fleece, but the headline sounded way better that way. “The Dark Side of the 60% Cotton / 40% Polyester” didn’t roll off the tongue the same way. Regardless, these Dark Side hoodies are still pretty awesome – assuming you get your thrills from Star Wars, and don’t mind people staring at you.

For some reason, I don’t remember Darth Vader being quite so jubilant and frothy in the Star Wars Saga, but he seems awfully gleeful that he’s gotten himself some sort of pink dinosaur so he’s clearly got reason to celebrate.

A loving father made this growth chart for his daughter’s 7th birthday using Sci-Fi characters (plus Frodo) as markers, starting with tribbles and ending with Darth Vader. Should’ve thrown in a Gundam there dad. You never know!

While a CD player isn’t exactly cutting-edge technology, I still like the idea of a sound system that looks like Darth Vader guarding my desktop. Jazwares‘ Darth Vader “CD Boombox” doesn’t really qualify as a boombox in my book, but it definitely qualifies as a CD player and most definitely qualifies as Darth Vader.

The Super Bowl has come and gone and the entire event was a bit of opposite day for me. I generally avoid commercials like algebra homework when I watch TV. During the Super Bowl, I actually want to see the commercials as much as the game.

Remember that little girl who loved Star Wars, but was bullied at school because Star Wars was just for boys? She received an outpouring of support from geeks and geekettes everywhere, and companies started sending her stuff.

The Force is really strong over at ThinkGeek. The company seemingly has an endless supply of awesome Star Wars gear that geeks can lust after. You might recognize these Lego Minifig Alarm Clocks that we talked about back in September.

I can officially say that in the 4+ years and 6675+ posts that we’ve had on Technabob, that we’ve written articles about condoms exactly twice. Now, we’ve gone and done it thrice. And one of the previous times was about a Darth Vader condom too.

What the hell is Darth Vader doing dressed up in this Hello Kitty outfit? Well, it turns out that Hello Kitty Darth Vader is a Photoshopped fake, made by Count Dookie for  The Dented Helmet. He actually calls it the Sanrio Vader and I have to say that it’s not very scary.
