There’s good news and bad news about this helmet. The good news is that this custom Dead Space inspired motorcycle helmet is all kinds of awesome. The bad news is that you know it will get scratched up as you battle necromorphs in it.
We’ve seen some Dead Space Plasma Cutters before – even some with real lasers, but hey, lasers are always cool, so check this one out and be very impressed. The craftmanship and attention to detail here is simply stunning.
I’m a big fan of shooters when it comes to video games, and when you combine some science fiction and horror themes you really have my attention. This is why when Dead Space originally came out, I rushed down and purchased the game to try my hand at playing it.
This is more of a sci-fi cosplay costume than a Halloween costume, but if you’d wear this over the weekend, it would probably amaze anyone you’d come across. This awesome costume was made by Maker extraordinaire Shawn Thorsson, best known for those incredible HALO costumes (his Predator wasn’t half bad either).
Fans of the Dead Space series will be familiar with the Plasma Cutter, since it’s the default tool-turned-weapon that the hero Isaac Clarke has in both games. Now you can own life sized replicas of the Plasma Cutters in Dead Space and Dead Space 2, which will surely come in handy if you encounter life sized replicas of Necromorphs.
There’s not much that’s cute about EA’s Dead Space. The very name is terrifying, and the game’s Necromorphs are among some of gaming’s most disturbing creatures. Basically, it’s the worst candidate for amigurumi ever… and yet, look!
Real fans don’t buy action figures, whether or not they’re commercially available. Buying things is for wimps. No, the real fan breaks out the paint, dismembers currently-existing figures, and then the real fan makes their own action figures, like Chris Hooton did for the horror game Dead Space.
