Over the years, I’ve worked with all different sizes of laptops, from tiny 10″ netbooks to hulking 17″ luggable workstations. Each of these served its purpose, but the fact is that unless you’re doing heavy duty content creation, 15″ and larger laptops are too bulky for most users to carry around, so a 12″ or 13″ model is ideal for everyday productivity.

I’ve been a regular user of the 2015 and 2016 model Dell XPS laptops – the XPS 13 and XPS 15, and have been very impressed with the overall performance, usability and build quality of these portable workhorses.

The latest generation Dell XPS 13 is an amazing specimen of modern technology, packing a highly-capable PC into a lightweight laptop with an amazing screen, and exceptional build materials. The most obvious breakthrough in the XPS 13 is its nearly borderless “infinity” display, which allows the laptop to pack a 13″ screen into the space that you’d normally have an 11″ or 12″ display.

I’ve become a bit jaded by the fact that most of the 4k TVs and computer monitors that I have seen cost thousands of dollars. I am in the market for a new TV, but you won’t catch me spending over $1800 or so and I want a big screen for my money too.

The desktop computer market is pretty much stagnant as more and more consumers move to notebooks, tablets, and smartphones as their primary devices. One of the bright spots in the desktop computer market continues to be the all-in-one computer or AIO.

Dell Wyse – the cloud computing company acquired by Dell in May 2012 – may soon be entering its bet on the emerging PC on a stick genre. While the previous examples of these flash drive computers we’ve seen use Android as their primary operating system, Dell’s product will also run on Android, but will give customers the freedom to choose from different OSes to actually use.

If you’re the sort of computer user who wants to be different, but you don’t want to lay out the big money that the MacBook costs you might want to check out Dell’s latest offering. Dell has announced that it’s offering an XPS 13 Ultrabook with Ubuntu Linux pre-installed instead of Windows.

In many ways, you might think that convertible laptops are a thing of the past, but there’s just something about such a multi-purpose device that makes sense for some business applications. The Dell Latitute XT3 features a swivel-screen and an integrated keyboard, so you won’t need to buy an extra one if you want to get some work done.

Dell pulled the Streak 7 out of its hat at CES last week and the immediate thing that most of us wanted to know was at what point the computer maker decided to hamstring its tablet with the wrong OS.

Dell has just dropped the price on its stylish Adamo lightweight laptop computers from $1099 to as little as $899. In my opinion, it’s too little too late, when for a little bit more, you could get the newer MacBook Air.

While still popular among many gamers, Dell’s Alienware gaming computers have acquired a reputation of being way too expensive, particularly when compared to similarly spec’d computers. But until this coming Sunday, December 5, you can get one of the line’s most popular members, the m11x, for just $549 (USD).

Originally tablet computers were mostly convertible laptops. Last month, Dell showed off their new spin on things, and here it is in action. Surprisingly, this thing might actually hit the retail market pretty soon. This is just a teaser video, but it’s a safe bet that this convertible netbook will make it to market.

Dell has gobs of notebooks on the market with all sorts of offerings that run from basic netbooks and notebooks up to high end gaming models. The computer maker has pulled the covers off a cool looking new notebook called the Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition that has a cool aluminum finish and laser-etched wave design on the top.

I have been a PC gamer for years now and the best thing I did this side of getting a really fast video card was upgrading to a 30-inch LCD years ago. There are few things better than gaming at 2560 x 1600.
