If you’re a fan of Disney and Mickey Mouse, your mouse house isn’t complete without a pair of ears. Of course, you could go for the standard-issue black ears, but if you’re a little more of a tech geek, then you should consider making a pair like these.
LEGO moves fast. Last month, the LEGO Review Board greenlit two new LEGO Ideas sets as part of the Second 2018 Review Results. One was The Central Perk Coffee from Friends, the other was Steamboat Willie.
Do you love Mickey Mouse? I mean really love him? You may not love him so much after seeing this. Matthew Plummer Fernandez’s Every Mickey is a terrifying Disney mutation. This thing is a 19″ tall 3D printed object consisting of “Every model of Mickey Mouse found online, compiled as one.”
That doesn’t sound so bad but look at the picture.
When you have small kids it’s harder to get around, which is why strollers were invented. And when you have small kids and you are a geek… you need an appropriately geeky stroller. Fantasy Strollers is a stroller rental company based in Orlando, Florida.
Fans of Disney, Apple, and Beats, behold the new Mickey Mouse edition Beats Solo3 wireless headphones. The cartoon mouse is 90 years old now. Can you believe that? To celebrate the occasion, Apple has revealed a pair of special edition Solo3 cans for Disney fans.
These Disneyfied headphones are for anyone who loves the elderly mouse.
Disney is a family-friendly company. At least they try to be. They don’t tolerate people in Donald Duck costumes cursing at theme park visitors or trying to feel them up. Just like they don’t tolerate their movie directors making nasty “jokes” online.
Just like every other major company and network these days, Disney is launching its own standalone video streaming service. And why not? The company has a large catalog of content. They own Marvel, The Muppets, Star Wars, and have decades worth of their own movies.
Remember a month ago when Disney’s Stickman was the best robotic stuntman technology they had? Good times. Things are about to get way more human and way more creepy. Now the company is working on a series of truly acrobatic, humanoid stunt robots with their Stuntronics project.
In the video below, the daredevil robots can be seen doing different acrobatic tricks as they get launched in the air and land in nets.
Disney animation fans got a special treat today, with the release of a brand new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. The trailer shows off the latest adventure where Ralph and friends have to travel into the Internet to find a replacement part for Sugar Rush.
As you can imagine, this is going to be a strange world for Ralph.
Disney is always pushing boundaries when it comes to their robots. That’s why the robots in their theme parks are so cool. Check out this video demonstration of Disney Research’s Stickman. It’s a robotic, and acrobatic stickperson that can do single and double backflips.
Robots have become better at imitating some of the stunts that humans can do.
OMG, I so hope this happens! Apparently, Disney is thinking about making a Star Wars inspired resort that would be set on a starship. How awesome would it be to sleep inside a giant starship? The resort would let fans not only sleep and live in a starship for a few days, word is you would get to participate in your own 2-day story set in the Star Wars universe.
According to WDWNT, third party (presumably working with Disney) is surveying guests on their interest in staying in such a resort, and the images here are the concept art for the hotel.
One of the most famous rides that Disney has at its theme parks is the Haunted Mansion. This ride puts you into cars that roll through what looks like a Victorian era haunted hause. Along the way, you see yourself in the mirrors and it looks like ghosts are riding with you.
During an earnings call, the Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the Pandora: The World of Avatar park will open on May 27, 2017 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida. This sounds really cool, but I have to wonder how many people even remember the film that the park is based on today.
Disney is working to get all the mileage possible out of its Star Wars purchase and as such it plans to turn that boring Epcot Spaceship Earth silver ball into the Death Star tonight. The catch is that the transformation appears to be for one night only and will be done after normal park hours.
The transformation is to celebrate Rogue One hitting theaters in a few weeks.
Disney has been working for quite some time on an Avatar themed attraction, and they recently gave the world its first look at one of the animatronic Na’vi characters from the upcoming Pandora attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida.
Back in the ’80s I would wake up early each Saturday to watch cartoons. I can remember the very first cartoon that came on each morning was Winnie the Pooh. I didn’t like it, but my brother was really into the Pooh, though so i’d sing the song “Winnie the Poot” and then make farting noises just to mess with him.
