Sony has just announced the upcoming release of two new Android tablets. Wait for it, one of them has got dual screens! If that isn’t enough to ensure that you’ll buy it, check out what they’ve announced to make their tablets unique!
After glasses-free 3D HDTVs, it makes sense that some of the parallax viewing technology would allow you to do something like this. Sony has now demonstrated a new TV set which allows two people to watch two different channels at the same time, depending on where they sit on the couch.
While I don’t own a tablet like the iPad, I do think that they are cool to use and definitely make reading books and watching media fun. The Kno tablet is aimed at students and designed as a modern-day replacement for textbooks.
What’s good is that it’s in a reasonable price range.
Gizmodo scored a few up close photos of the gScreen Spacebook, a laptop with two 15.4-inch LED-backlit screens. It was designed with “professional designers, filmmakers, photographers” and the military in mind, but I’m sure there are gamers who are already saving up for the privilege of owning a portable dual-screen set-up.
Although the Spacebook might be stretching the meaning of “portable”, as Gizmodo estimates that the thing will weigh at least 12 lbs.
