The damned Duck Hunt dog is hounding us into the 21st century, thanks to Computer Science student Joseph Delgado. Joseph spent an entire day making a virtual reality version of the classic NES shooter. Joseph made the game for the recently concluded Global Game Jam 2016.

French artist Gauvain Manhattan bought six old paintings from flea markets and then painstakingly wove replicas of each painting. He didn’t replicate them perfectly though. Instead he turned the real world subjects into virtual ones by adding characters and other elements from video games.

The crew of Skit-B Pinball made this wonderful homage to one of the most recognizable NES games, Duck Hunt. It may not be as complicated or have fancy lighting effects and ramps like other modern pinball machines, but the craftsmanship is so good that it looks like an official Nintendo product.

If there’s two things in life I love, it’s video games and cookies. I mean, what’s not to like? Apparently, the guys over at Parchment Cookies have the same mentality, and have baked up some epic video game-inspired cookies for us to admire (and eat if we could afford them.)

Remember that old Megatron Transformer that turns into a gun? Well, LEGO builder Baron von Brunk from New York has outdone that one. His version of the toy has the Decepticon leader Megatron turning into something much more geeky – an NES Zapper gun.

While I personally wasn’t that into Duck Hunt, the classic shooting game on the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System, I have to say that this piece of art that combines pixel art with traditional art is lots of fun.

Retro NES fans, you’ve gotta hand it to artist pixelparty for his fine craftsmanship in the creation of this life-size dog from the classic 8-bit light gun game, Duck Hunt. The dog measures 18″ wide by 16″ tall and is made from recycled pixels wood and a glossy coat of paint.

You know, square? Like pixels? Oh, lame jokes, never desert me… and internets, please never stop supplying fantastic fan art. Even the dog from Duck Hunt–my most despised video game nemesis ever–looks great here. Pixel art is a funny thing: it’s both simple and complicated.
