Back in 2011 we checked out artist John Karpinsky’s Star Wars character portraits that had awesome Day of the Dead-themed twists. He recently reached out to us to share the latest additions to his series, featuring some of the heroes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
John calls this batch the Force Four.

Etsy seller James Sharp of Masenko Props is our world’s Happy Mask Salesman. He’s made life-size replicas of Majora’s Mask, the Deku Mask and the Goron Mask from Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Mask mask mask.
Even though they’re all made from cast polyurethane resin, James’ Fierce Deity painting skills make all three masks look like they’re made of wood, stone and whatever the hell Majora’s Mask is made of.
Turn back time and head to Etsy to order the masks.
Etsy store LitUpInteriorDesign makes lamps out of used objects and toys. Some of their best designs involve Dragon Ball Z action figures, where the bulb is set up in such a way that they stand in for the characters’ energy attack.
The bulb is mounted horizontally on a post at the rear of the wooden base to obscure the socket.
It’s such a simple trick but it works really well.

Steam Sailor proprietor Michael Tinson 3D prints and hand-paints each hilt.
