Greeting card artist bsangel created this Xbox 360 Red Rings of Death card which lets your grieving gaming pals know your heartfelt wishes in their time of need.

Swiss artist André Willimann handcrafts these gloriously detailed 3-dimensional faceplates for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console. Each one is meticulously assembled from custom molded 3-D pieces, then individually oil painted to give the works depth and color.

Take your Mario obsession to bed with you with this handmade quilt inspired by Nintendo’s pixelated plumber. Maine artists Shawna, Patrick (and their turtle named Bruce) from Potatocraft crafted this machine-pieced patchwork quilt from numerous individual squares of colored fabric to create giant pixels.

Gamer girls, if you weren’t fortunate enough to pick up the Nintendo DS necklace, here’s another fun piece of video game inspired jewelry I found. These earrings are tiny versions of the Nintendo Wii-mote controller. Artist Thiakosia hand-sculpted these tiny Wii controller earrings entirely from Sculpey polymer clay.

I came across this funky Pac-Man inspired bag over on Etsy earlier today. Handmade by Melissa and Zach of New York’s hobocampcrafts, the bag features the likeness of one of the dot-gobbler’s ghostly nemeses, Inky. Using a bunch of carefully selected buttons, the artists stitched together the blue ghost from the classic 80s arcade game.

Leave it to Etsy to turn up with another great video game inspired piece of handywork. Here we’ve got a set of rocks glasses with some excellent etched Space Invaders on ’em. They’re the perfect companion to those Pac-Man shot glasses you picked up a couple of weeks ago.

Here’s something for true fans of Nintendo’s classic Legend of Zelda adventure series. Etsy contributor ProphetofDoom recently created this wonderful mosaic version of the video game’s protagonist Link. Handmade from thousands of individually cut pieces of stained glass, it took the artist over three months to complete.

Check out this amazingly precise needlepoint inspired by Super Mario Brothers. Artist Lauren Yakiwchuk must have had the patience of a saint to pull off the detail in this scene from the Nintendo classic platformer. It took Lauren about 30 hours to complete this 9″ x 11″ scene from SMB, handstitching the entire piece from scratch.

Amidst her handmade menagerie of teddy bears, bunny rabbits and other cute critters, Delaware crafter Poisonholly created this seemingly out of place plush Guitar Hero 2 controller. The hand crafted guitar bears more than a passing resemblance to the PS2’s cherry red Gibson SG, complete with colored fret “buttons” on the neck.

I’m not sure how you handmake temporary tattoos, but Etsy artist michibags seems to know how. (I’m guessing it’s done with special inkjet paper and ink). Her latest creation is these temp tats of everyone’s favorite little Italian plumber, Mario.

With cooler seasons just around the corner, here’s something to warm the cockles of your heart. It’s a hand knit Space Invaders sweater. Kansas City crafter n2Imaginations hand makes these custom sweaters from acrylic yarn to keep you nice and toasty on those cold Winter nights.

I guess it doesn’t take much to amuse me these days. Pretty much put an image of Mario, Pac-man or the Space Invaders on anything handmade and I’ll bite. Today’s crafty goody is this felt mobile that pays tribute to Taito’s classic video game aliens.

It seems like most gamer gear is oriented towards dudes, so it’s nice to see the occasional accessory for girls who like to get their game on.
