We all know what a cheeseburger is; it’s a hamburger with cheese on the INSIDE. Burger King Japan is rolling to a couple new sandwiches, one a normal burger and the other with chicken inside that have cheese on the outside.
McDonalds Japan routinely rolls out some very weird food items that are only offered in that country. One such food item was that purple sweet potato shake offered a few months back. This time out, McDonald’s Japan has a Krabby Patty, and you don’t even have to go to Bikini Bottom to get it.
The CinniBird lets you spice up food literally and figuratively. The battery-powered pen lets you draw using spices and powdered substances such as cinnamon, paprika and cocoa. Just fill its removable container and start doodling.
According to its maker OLIARTS Studio, CinniBird is already a finished product, which makes me wonder why they bothered to setup a Kickstarter fundraiser.
When Chris Dimino unveiled his Typewriter Waffle Maker a few years ago the Internet begged him to make more of them to sell. Challenge accepted. Chris is now raising funds on Kickstarter for a more functional version of his art piece, which he simply calls The Keyboard Waffle Iron.
That feeling you get when you realize that you forgot someone’s birthday is just the worst. You can set alarms and have alerts pop up, but if it slips your mind, it slips your mind, so it’s better to have a back-up plan in place for when it happens.
Japan seems to get all the strange foods, and of late, it seems that burgers have been a big focus of edible oddities. Japan had that all black hamburger at Burger King a while back that looked both tasty and gross at the same time.
The second I saw this weird egg mold, I was reminded of that scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom where they eat brains right out of monkey skulls. This egg mold makes your hard boiled eggs look like tiny skulls.
Growing up, my uncle had this collection of glasses that had sexy women on them. When you put cold liquids into them, the clothes disappeared on the glasses leaving the ladies in their undies. I thought those were the greatest glasses ever made.
Pizza and fries. They’re two of the best-selling offerings at fast food joints and for good reason: they taste great and they’re fattier than they should be. People have a habit of combining their favorite stuff to create something twice as awesome, and the folks at Foodinese recently accomplished that with their pizza with a crust made from french fries.
If you have ever messed around and eaten a bunch of spicy food, you know that it can cause as much of a burning sensation coming out as it did going in. ThinkGeek has some new popcorn that is made with super-hot ghost peppers, and is sure to cause you far less joy on the way out than on the way in.
If you grew up in the ’80s playing the original Super Mario Bros. game on the Nintendo, you will know that gobbling the right mushrooms can make plumbers turn into a giant. ThinkGeek has a new cake pan that lets you cook your own video game mushrooms, and they too will make you grow if you eat too many.
We process flavors not just with our mouth but with our nose as well. That’s why food can taste bland if you have a stuffy nose. Molecule-R claims to take advantage of this with its Volatile Flavoring Kits, which comes with different food scents.
