Sound Activated Mini Dancing Monkeys

Sound Activated Mini Dancing Monkeys
The title speaks for itself. Sound Activated Mini Dancing Monkeys has to be the best product name I’ve heard in a long time. What more can you ask for than mini monkeys that dance along to sounds?

Domo-Kun Mimobot Drives Set to Bare Their Teeth

Domo-Kun Mimobot Drives Set to Bare Their Teeth
Already insanely popular with hipster-doofuses and the artsy-fartsy set around the globe, Domo-kun (aka “Domo”) is a strange little character that’s been seen on Japanese television screens for about ten years. Whether you think he’s cute, weird or disturbing, there’s something for everyone when it comes to the little brown guy.

Mysims for Wii Hands-on Sneak Preview

Mysims for Wii Hands-on Sneak Preview
This week, a handful of us bloggers had the opportunity to hang out at EA’s sprawling headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA to meet with the team that created the new MySims game for the Nintendo Wii.

Pac-Man and His Namco Pals in Pillow Form

Pac-Man and His Namco Pals in Pillow Form
Did you cut your teeth dropping every last quarter of your allowance into arcade machines back in the 80s? Here’s a little something to bring back those memories whenever parked on your couch or reclining in your La-Z-Boy.

Giant Inflatable Talking Robots Invade Wal-Mart

Giant Inflatable Talking Robots Invade Wal-Mart
I’ve always wanted a headline like that. It sounds like something out of Weekly World News. However, I assure you that this time it’s 100% accurate. The Mega Mech Airmagination Inflatable Robot has to be one of the worst product names I’ve heard in a long time.

Low-Tech Tetris

Low-Tech Tetris
We don’t need no stinking video game consoles to get our Tetris on around here. No-siree, we like to play it using real 3-dimensional blocks instead. Tetris Tower 3D is the classic puzzle-piece video game brought to life.

Little Dude Could be My Favorite USB Hub Ever

Little Dude Could be My Favorite USB Hub Ever
There’s something that’s just right about this USB hub. The little guy strikes a near-perfect balance between design, simplicity and functionality (although that’s the one place it falls a little short). Kikkerland’s USB Hub Man has flexible wire arms and legs with a port at the end of each one.

Bandroid Robotic Trio Jams to Your Tunes

Bandroid Robotic Trio Jams to Your Tunes
This trio of pint-sized robots connects to your media player and rocks out to the beat of your favorite tracks. The robotic musical group, known as Bandroid, has a lead guitar player, keyboardist and drummer, which can each wildly gesticulate to the beat.

Cardboard Mini Arcade for the Psp

Cardboard Mini Arcade for the Psp
Now you can have your own tiny arcade machine anywhere you take your Sony PSP portable gaming system. These arcade cardboard stands make your PSP look like it’s an arcade game cabinet (in miniature of course).

Rubik’s Cube Goes Into the Next Dimension

Rubik’s Cube Goes Into the Next Dimension
I’ve seen all sorts of variations on the original Rubik’s Cube puzzle, but never one quite like this. EastsheenCubes take multiple mini-cubes and join them together to form one crazy looking version of the classic mindbender.

Super Mario Subwoofer Paint Job

Super Mario Subwoofer Paint Job
I really dig the great job that Nintendo enthusiast Michael Karpinski did with his new subwoofer. He’s carefully painted it to match the classic “question mark” brick from the Super Mario game series. Looks like that little stuffed Yoshi won’t be long for the world when Michael cranks up his next big bass extravaganza.

IPhone Smudge Simulator

IPhone Smudge Simulator
Whether you’re holding off on that new iPhone purchase until version 2.0, or you’re already camping out, this fun online plaything should keep you occupied while you’re waiting. The wonderfully-named iSmudginator is a bit of interactive Flash that lets you simulate what will happen to your shiny new iPhone after you’ve put it through it’s paces.

Battery Eater Chews Up Old Aa-Cells

Battery Eater Chews Up Old Aa-Cells
Here’s a gadget that doesn’t really serve a useful purpose, but somehow still seems like a good idea. Just when you though that AA-battery was on its final last breath, why not give it one last sendoff.

Donkey Kong Post-It Note Art

Donkey Kong Post-It Note Art
A group of engineering students over at the University of California Santa Cruz took time out of their busy academic schedules to create this larger-than-life work of art made from Post-it Notes. The Donkey Kong installation took the team of ten people about five hours to complete, and used over 6,400 colored Post-it Notes (although they had to buy over 14,000 of the little sticky buggers to get all the colors they needed.)

LEGO Salt and Pepper Shakers

LEGO Salt and Pepper Shakers
While these LEGO salt and pepper shakers don’t necessarily belong on my tech blog, I just thought they were too cool to not feature them. Just $4.99 (USD) buys you this pair of shakers that resemble the classic LEGO heads.
