We have seen automakers over the years create numerous concept cars that will never be seen in the real world, only in the digital one. Such is the case with a new car that Chevy has unveiled destined to be driven only in the PS3 game Gran Turismo 6.

While the wait for Gran Turismo 5 is hasn’t yet approached Duke Nukem Forever proportions, we are getting kind of sick of waiting. Especially when Sony sneaks out fine looking video footage the likes of which they showed off at this week’s Tokyo Game Show.

The faux pas of the day comes to us courtesy of master of all things Xbox, Major Nelson. Apparently, some junior web developer over at Sony mistakenly used a screenshot of the Xbox hit racing game, Project Gotham Racing 3 in an advertisement for Gran Turismo 4.

Just in time for Christmas, Playstation 3 owners are getting a small glimmer of happiness in the midst of all of the lumps of coal that Sony has dealt us so far. On December 24, they’ll be offering the Gran Turismo HD Concept game as a free download on the Playstation Store.
