There’s no need to burn the midnight oil (or candle) anymore when you need to get some studying, reading, or work done on a night when your power dies on you. That is, if it was a really sunny day earlier and if you have one of these colorful and simplistic IKEA Solvinden Solar-Powered Table Lamps.
I have to admit that these lights are kind of cute, especially if you spend a lot of hours in front of a computer and love Super Mario Bros. While I can’t say if they’ll give you an extra life or make you grow bigger, these new green and red mushrooms from Super Mario Bros still look pretty cool.
While the Trumpet amplifier looked really good, it was a tad expensive, which is why the iPhone Portable Amplifier Horn is an interesting alternative. As with the iTrumpet and iVictrola, it doesn’t need any electricity but the resulting sound is somewhat louder than the barebones speaker.
Lobster is a big deal up in Maine where they catch a bunch of the gross looking critters and then ship them all around the country for folks to boil up and eat. Maine also apparently cans lots of lobster too and the shells left over from that canning are generally tossed in the trash.
If you walk up to a bunch of automotive enthusiasts and start talking about the virtues of a hybrid we might listen if only because we need someone to buy the Prius and Focus Hybrids, so the V8’s we really like can continue on thanks to CAFE.
I think we all know today that the CCFL light bulb is a greener alternative to the normal light bulb. The fluorescent bulbs have some bad things about them though. The look weird, they have weird light color, and they are more expensive than incandescent bulbs.
If you like long hot showers in the morning and a bit of music to go with it to wake up we have the radio for you. You can buy all sorts of radios that are made for use in the shower that can survive the water.
While I’ve never thought about wearing a wooden watch, I have to say that these watches from WeWood look pretty good. On top of that, they’re made out of something natural, and you know, that’s pretty good, right?
Someday, engineers will figure out a way to make gadgets that never need to be recharged. But until they do, you always run the risk of running out of juice while you’re on the road away from a charger.
Back in December, I mentioned the awesome new Mission R electric racing motorcycle. The thing is awesome looking with all its fairing and panels on. The high-tech bike is capable of hitting 160mph on the straights and can handle right along with the best combustion engine bikes around.
I’m not quite sure how I missed this thing at CES. It must have been shown behind closed doors, or maybe some doors I just didn’t bother to peek through. At least the guys at Mashable shot some footage of this goofy looking two-seater, the GM EN-V.
Kudos are in order for Griffin. Not only is the new CarTrip a cool sounding product that works with the iPhone to allow you to monitor things about your car, but they resisted the temptation to strap an “i” in front of the product name.
Anyone who’s played games on any modern console knows that your gameplay can be ranked via these Internet connected systems. I remember the first time I plugged in an old Xbox and saw how I ranked in the U.S.
