If you ask me, greeting cards are not fun to give or receive. The only time any of us really like to get them is when they have money in them. Greeting cards are also expensive with a nice card costing nearly $5 these days for something you know will get tossed in the trash shortly after it’s given.

A new online service called Greeting Games lets you attach a mini-game to a digital greeting card. The hilarious thing about the service? The recipient has to beat the game before he can read your message.

Christmas is here and if you think you might need to send out Christmas cards this year, and you happen to be a geek get your credit card ready. Artist P.J. McQuade is selling some very cool Christmas cards over on Etsy.

Like the various countries in the real world, different videogames have different currencies. deviantART member/virtual economist/pun visualizer Matt Cowan pulled the exchange rate for various game currencies right out of his witty ass and created this funny artwork.

We’re almost at the final level of this year. I know you’re still resting from beating the Thanksgiving buffet and wounded from your encounter with the Black Friday hordes, but we must be steadfast! The last big holiday of the year is upon us.

Remember the old clamshell Apple iBook laptop? Well even if you don’t I still think these iBook greeting cards are cool. Handmade by Etsy paper artist Cadiz Cards, the iCard comes in sets of three, including classic blueberry, indigo and key lime iBooks, each one with a tiny screen that comes blank for you to fill in your own greeting, and a miniature keyboard that is way too small for my fat fingers.

If your significant other is starting to suspect you may care more about Master Chief and Major Nelson’s Twitter, it might be time to offer tangible (and hilarious) proof to the contrary. Especially with Valentine’s Day coming up and all.
