I admit that I always wanted to have a gun like James Bond had that would fire a grappling hook so you could climb a building in short order. One geek has taken it on himself to create his own grappling hook launcher.

There are times in war or in police work where you need to know what is on the other side of a building or hill without having to go up the hill or around the building and walk into a trap.

Sure, you could always shoot paintballs at your mortal enemies, but if you’re looking for a way to really make a mess of things, there’s not many better ways than with some good old fashioned tar and feathers.

Try to control yourselves people, this is awesome. The gun you see here is a handmade prop that comes from the same dude, Harrison Krix of Volpin Props, who brought us the M8 replica last year.

This isn’t an official Zippo-issued lighter (because I doubt it would be legal to do so) but it’s way cooler than any other standard-issue they’ve released thus far. Roll the flint wheel on this lighter but make sure your face is a safe distance away from the barrel unless you want a mini bullet to hit you straight in the face.

Some people really deserve to be Tasered, like bullies or thieves. I think it’s much better for the police to Taser someone rather than shooting them with real bullets. The catch is that many of the Tasers on the market require the person doing the zapping to be very close.

Decent Airsoft guns can look quite realistic and menacing. But YouTuber styropyro figured his Airsoft gun wasn’t geeky enough, so he gutted it out and converted it to a laser rifle. So instead of a gun that shoots bullets at a hundred miles per hour, now styropyro has a gun with a projectile that goes at the speed of light.

It never ceases to amaze me when we go somewhere just how much stuff my wife has to take with her. I can get a Walmart bag and pack all I need to get by for a week inside the thing.

When was a kid, my brother and I were always collecting little mini cap guns. You could put a single cap in them at a time and they would actually shoot. A Russian man has been making mini guns for decades that remind me of those cap guns from my youth.

Today the camera mounted on the gun or on the soldiers body in some way is a vital part of getting video and photos of an operation to commanders in real time. It’s common today on TV and in video games so we take it a bit for granted.

Ever since I had a Swiss-Italian roommate, I’ve been a fan of espressos. If they’re properly brewed, they can be quite tasty. The “Shooter” espresso gun, Il Tiro, will deliver espresso shots into your gullet thanks to its handy gun-like design.

Here in Texas there have already been more than a few summer-like days with lots of heat and kids playing in sprinklers. Those hot days are perfect for some water gun wars. The problem with water guns like the Super Soaker is that you have to stop and refill the tank on occasion.

I am truly humbled by the amazing things that people manage to do with LEGO bricks these days. Sure, there are way more shapes available than the simple squares, rectangles and green baseplates of my childhood, but it’s still impressive what can be done with these playthings.
