Manly men everywhere sometimes have the urge to go out in the woods and shoot something, then find a lake and catch some fish. Take that nature. Some of your beautiful wonders are now dead. Muscles are flexed, heads are mounted and fish are now served with just a hint of mercury.
Despite what I’ve learned from video games, I actually think I like my chances of running away from a flamethrower-wielding villain versus one armed with a loaded gun. But that didn’t stop one hacker from building a flamethrower that looks like a pistol.
While you might think the best way to take down alien invaders in an arcade game would be to use a joystick, or maybe a trackball or spinner, it turns out that you can also use a good, old-fashioned handgun.
We don’t get a real winter here in Texas, it rarely snows. If it does snow, it only lasts a few days. In colder climates, like Technabob HQ in Chicago, you guys can spend the winter having snowball fights and digging your car out.
A while back over, we told you about a cool lamp concept called “BANG!” which was supposed to let you”shoot out” the light with a gun. I was pretty sure the thing was just a concept, but it turns out you can now buy the thing.

This amazingly deadly robot was built by Robert Beatty and his daughters. Note to all of his daughter’s future suitors… Run! This thing is called Mechatron. It sports mecanum wheels and has a deadly electric gun mounted on top.
While George Lucas would like us all to forget Han Solo did shoot first when confronted by Greedo, at least we have a memento to remember it by. I only wish that when I needed to solder some electronic parts together, I had a soldering gun this cool.
Yep, it’s September, and if you can believe it, Halloween is just around the corner. If you’re looking for a cool costume, and don’t have a lot of time (or the talent) to put one together for yourself, you should definitely check this out.
Back when I was still in college and definitely way more temperamental than I am today, I would bang my alarm clock silent (or throw it all across the dorm room) in order to shut it up and catch a few more minutes of sleep.
