We’ve talked about Swiss daredevil Yves Rossy several times since he began making flights using a wing powered by jet engines strapped to his back. In the past he’s flown his backpack wing in formation with a fighter jet, jumped from a hot air balloon and completed a loop wearing his backpack wing.
Yves Rossy, the flying Swiss maniac, has appropriately called himself Jetman, and I have to say that his moniker is well deserved, because that thing strapped to his back just looks plain dangerous. His latest stunt?
I can trace my lust for a personal jet pack back to a single specific event from my youth. The episode of Fall Guy where Lee Majors used a jet pack really got my attention. Since I saw that show, I have wanted one and I honestly expected by the time I was this old, we would all have them.
