The GOGO lantern is a new portable lamp that’s currently being funded over on Kickstarter. The product is just what it sounds like, a lantern that you can use on the go or at home. The GOGO has some cool features, with the big one being a solar panel on top to charge the lantern when you are out in the field.

I love to be in the great outdoors, hiking around Colorado. If you are ever backpacking or trying to hike with as little weight as possible, you have to watch everything you put in your pack.

Lamps, flashlights and lanterns frequently run on batteries or solar power, but the Green House GH-LED10WBW lantern only needs a drink of water with a dash of salt mixed in, and it’s good to go. It’s all thanks to its power source, a consumable rod that is filled with magnesium and carbon.

I would bet that most of us have needed to work on something under the hood of the car or under a cabinet before, and needed both hands but needed a flashlight too. Typically that means you had to hold the flashlight in your mouth or call someone to help you.
