If you’re in the market for a new digital watch and want something a little out of the ordinary, you might want to check out the latest timepiece from Nooka – the ZAZ. Now, I’m not a big fan of the name, which sounds like some sort of tacky accessory store from the 1980s, but the watch’s cool modern style belies its rather silly name.

Audiophiles listen up: pimp up and pamper your headphones with these leather covers from Berlin-based design agency BLESS. The covers come in black or anthracite – that’s gray for us common folk. As you can see each headphone sock cover has an extra compartment, perfect for placing spare coins, or even an extra pair of earphones.

If you absolutely, positively must wear a gas mask, you might as well do it with extreme style and panache. Artist Tom Banwell works with leather and resin to make rayguns, helmets, and absolutely incredible masks like this one.

I just love the design of this iPhone case that’s designed to look like an old-school Sony Walkman. This handmade leather case comes to us courtesy of London UK artist Tovicorrie of Beautiful Skin. Each one is imprinted with a retro image of Sony’s classic cassette player, layered onto either a soft brown or burgundy red cowhide, and in orange, blue, brown or hot pink Walkman colors.

I don’t think I really need a holder for my cell phone, but if I did, I’d want mine to look just like this. These charming handmade leather rocking horses come to us from the creative minds of Taiwan’s 25TOGO Design.

Western Digital may plaster the name “My Book” onto a line of hard drives, but that doesn’t mean they are actual books, or really, that they even resemble books. But that doesn’t mean they can’t, so long as you’re willing to apply a little elbow grease.

At first glance at this dramatic designer watch from Diesel, you might ask yourself where the heck the time is hiding. Then, you might take a second to think and guess that maybe you press a button for the time to show up behind the polished black faceplate – and then you’d realize there are no buttons.

This over-the-top keyboard from Japan gets its tough-ass looks from its form-fitting black leather hide. Each key of the ritsy Gokukawa keyboard (¥49,800 / $548 USD) is meticulously hand-wrapped in rich black leather. The result is a completely monochromatic glossy black-on black design.

This new watch from Germany’s Botta Design can’t be bothered with two full rotations of the hour hand over the course of a 24 hour day. The Botta UNO 24 uses a single pointy hand that rotates at 1/2 the speed of a normal watch, letting you view all 24 hours of the day without a 2nd time around the dial.

In a show of sheer over-the-top ridiculosity, French accessory designer Louis Vuitton created this decked-out iPod carrying case for German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The custom-made Taiga leather Vuitton case is lined with rich red microfiber, and carries an insane 20 iPods, along with a charging dock, a set of JBL Creature II satellite speakers and matching subwoofer.

Created by Swedish designer David Ericsson, VOID Watches are the embodiment of clean modern design. Each watch in the new V.01 collection features a bold face design with an off-center grey-on-black LCD screen. According to Ericsson, the V.01’s half-glass / half-stainless face “could represent the duality of life; like the yin and yang, the past and future, love and hate, right or wrong.”

Despite their bright, energy-efficient displays, OLED (organic light emitting diode) timepieces are still be few and far between. So I was pleased to see another new watch jump on the OLED bandwagon. The Infinity Apus Dark Force digital watch features a luminescent blue OLED screen, which really pops out from the stainless and black backdrop.

A while back, I came across an intricate analog clock that used mechanical parts to produce a simulated digital display. Now it appears that there’s a miniature version of the same concept present in a high-end designer watch from jewelry artist Harry Winston and watchmaker Frédéric Garinaud.

Maybe I’m just too geeky, but I have a tendency to be drawn to ultra-modern digital watches. But sometimes there’s nothing like a good, old-fashioned analog dial. At least the guys over at Nixon are thinking a little outside the box with their latest analog watch design, the fashionably geeky R1G1.

A few years back there was an alarming trend of small purse-like accessory bags (also known as “manbags” or “murses”) being carried by metrosexuals in the trendier parts of town. Regardless of how in touch I am with my masculinity, I could never bring myself to point where I would carry one.
