If you’ve ever met someone at a party or meeting and wanted to exchange social networking information, you know it can be kind of a pain. Sure, you can hand them a business card – even one with a QR code on it – but that exchange of info still isn’t instantaneous, and requires the other party to follow up later.

A start-up company called Viewdle showed off some interesting smartphone software at CES. Their app can recognize faces in real time and automatically tag them, using either data from social networks or a user-created database from videos and photos on the phone itself.
