Remember the Book Scarves? Well, now you can do more than just wear your favorite story around your neck. If this campaign on Kickstarter gets, well, kick-started, you might soon be able to wear your favorite work of literature on your shirt.

Stories are more than just mere words on paper. They have the power to carry you off to faraway lands while making you care for characters as if they were your friends in real life. Stories can also serve as your temporary escape from the real world whenever you need to take a break from real life.

Game developer Freeverse announced Wednesday that they are currently working on an iPhone/iPod Touch action game based on last year’s hit comedy mash-up novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Freeverse, who have already made several iPhone games such as Flick Fishing and Big Bang Sudoki, promises “a rollicking action title with the perfect blend of zombie slaying action and touching romance narrative.”

There are a lot of wonderful classic novels available in the public domain, and they’re just sitting there, available for you to download and read at your leisure. Using homebrew software, you can even put those novels on your Nintendo DS.
