Lunch is an important meal when you are at school or work. At school it gives you a chance to talk to your friends and spend some time not learning anything. At work it gives you time to get away before you have to deal with your boss.

Lunchboxes were a big deal when I was in grade school way back in the day. We all wanted those metal ones with cool pictures on them, not the plastic ones with the single stickers on front.

Growing up, the thing I looked hardest for each year when it was time to go back to school wasn’t shoes or shirts, it was a new lunch box. The competition for coolest box at lunch was intense, and if yours sucked, kids made fun of you.

Packing a lunch for work is healthier than eating at a fast food restaurant, which is why many people do it, but the problem is that unless you use a microwave, your food is going to be cold when it should be hot.

I can remember the excitement I felt when I first started playing Fallout 4 and I would come across one of those Vault-Tec lunch boxes hidden away somewhere. I was always thinking something awesome would be inside.

My all-time favorite Schwarzenegger flick is Predator. I bet I have seen that movie a thousand times, and it has one of the most iconic Arnie lines ever uttered- “Get to Da Choppa!” My daughter runs around the house and screams that line frequently when she is trying to get away from her mom or me after doing something silly.

Back in the day, like most kids, I didn’t look forward to going back to school. What I did look forward to was finding the most awesome lunch box possible for the return to the classroom.

People who have been born with a silver spoon in their mouths are probably already accustomed to all the luxuries and finer things in life. So I don’t think it would come as a shock if you come across one such silver-spooner who has had a serving of the Oscheriyori, which is the world’s most expensive lunch box – said to be worth ¥18 million yen, or about $234,000 (USD).
