Creating marble machines that produce music when the balls hit objects, Martin Molin of the band Wintergatan (which I’m pretty sure is just him and his machine) knows precision ball-dropping is of utmost importance. So he developed this ball gate that can release his musical marbles with a standard timing deviation of just 1.46 milliseconds.

Marble runs: I remember constructing them as early as kindergarten with wooden block sets. Those were simpler times. And to think back then, all I wanted to do was grow up and be an adult already.

Forget human olympics games. The real action is when marbles compete against marbles to see who is the best of the best. Jelle Bakker of Jelle’s Marble Runs has created a video where 16 teams of marbles competefor the 2017 MarbleLympics.

Many many years of cartoon watching experience would lead me to believe that when a truck filled with marbles crashes, cars would slip off the road, with people basically running in place as they slip on millions of marbles.

Damn. Those are marbles? When I was a kid marbles were boring swirly colored little orbs. These things are works of art that look so awesome that they should be in some combination of a 3D Mario and a Metroid game.
