These Super Mario Bros. nesting dolls looks fantastic. Individually, each is a quality work of art. They are a tad dark in theme though. I mean, Bowser seems to have ripped the Princess’ arm off. Heck, Mario is holding a bloody wrench.

There’s something that’s always fascinated me about matroyshka, those Russian nesting dolls. I think it’s that they sort of remind me of Inception – in doll form. You know, a doll within a doll within a doll.

These robotroyshka dolls are one tricky mashup: they combine Russian nesting dolls, crochet, and robots into one deliciously adorable blend. I spotted these on the crafster forums. The ever-clever RhymeswOrange crocheted them by hand, and each one has a different felty face!
