We’ve featured Supermandolini’s sweet military-style NES pin before. It turns out that the design firm actually made a few more designs of the pins and calls the collection the Console Wars Veteran series, representing both the grizzled vets and the high-tech rookies of console gaming.

Star Wars movie buffs will recognize this jacket without need for any introduction or background info. I personally only saw the Revenge of the Sith, the third episode in the Star Wars series, so seeing this fine-looking jacket motivated me to dig a little deeper into the scene where the Yavin medal made its appearance.

It’s already pretty awesome to get a gold medal. Really – it means that for at least one day, you were the best in the world at something, and there’s no arguing with that. But Olympic medals have become increasingly more beautiful, too, and the medals for the 2010 Vancouver winter games are no exception… and it doesn’t hurt that they’re made from old circuit boards!
