Mega Man Fan Tributes Fills the Blue Bomber’S Heart Tank With Love

Mega Man Fan Tributes Fills the Blue Bomber’S Heart Tank With Love
Last month, Capcom held a Mega Man tribute contest to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the release of Mega Man 9 on the Wii. They requested fans to submit anything that showed their love for the blue bomber, with the best tribute winning a Mega Man 9 press kit, the one with an SNES cartridge for a case.

Mega Man Boss Battle Rubik’s Cube: Still Easier to Finish Than the Video Game

Mega Man Boss Battle Rubik’s Cube: Still Easier to Finish Than the Video Game
I’ve never been able to solve a Rubik’s cube; the most I can do is “solve” one of the faces. I’m also not good at platformers, nor do I enjoy playing them (but I am really interested in playing Ratchet & Clank).

A Tale of Two Mega Men

A Tale of Two Mega Men
It was the biggest of sprites, it was the smallest of sprites… no, wait, I mean they’re both right here next to one another, these Perler bead projects. It’s big Mega Man versus smaller Mega Man: The bigger Mega Man is almost two feet tall–and would look awesome on the wall–but I personally find this a lesson in the truthfulness of the old bigger-is-not-always-better saw.

Even the Best Pixel Art is Kinda Square

Even the Best Pixel Art is Kinda Square
You know, square? Like pixels? Oh, lame jokes, never desert me… and internets, please never stop supplying fantastic fan art. Even the dog from Duck Hunt–my most despised video game nemesis ever–looks great here. Pixel art is a funny thing: it’s both simple and complicated.

Papercraft Xmas Tree is a Colorful Fire Hazard

Papercraft Xmas Tree is a Colorful Fire Hazard
There’s just something about most holiday decorations that screams fire hazard, but this one really takes that idea and runs with it. This Christmas tree, by deviantARTist Maire, is done up almost completely in papercraft. The few lone traditional ornaments look awfully forlorn (and seriously outnumbered). The decorations are a real mix, from gaming icons like Mario, Link, and Mega Man, to upstarts like the Weighted Companion Cube from Portal, and they’re all made out of paper (and the sweat of effort).

Mega Man Energy Drink Helps You Beat Down Robot Masters

Mega Man Energy Drink Helps You Beat Down Robot Masters
To herald the launch of much-anticipated game Mega Man 9, an officially licensed Mega Man sports/energy drink is coming out in Japan. The drink will be called “Rockman E Can Drink” because it’s coming out in Japan and Mega Man is called Rockman over there.

Megaman Stained Glass Project: Hallelujah.

Megaman Stained Glass Project: Hallelujah.
No matter what your religion you belong to, you’ll be a believer in the church of 8-bit platform gaming once you see this brilliant work of stained glass art, based on the classic Megaman gaming franchise. Created by video game enthusiast / artist Gary in Cleveland, it was painstakingly assembled from numerous individually cut colored glass “pixels”. You can check out Gary’s complete photo set over on Flickr.
