With the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 in the works, it’s an exciting time for the future of console gaming. We know that both consoles will tout impressive hardware, and backwards compatibility with today’s games, and now Microsoft is showing off the detailed specs and internals of its next-gen console. For starters, the Xbox Series X will pack an impressive system-on-a-chip designed by AMD, which packs their Zen 2 and RDNA 2 technologies.

Microsoft has a deal going on right now for people who haven’t yet tried Xbox Game Pass. You can sign up for 90 days of service for just a buck. Yep, one simoleon, one donut, one single.

The biggest downside to game consoles like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X is the cost. Modern consoles and their games are very expensive making it hard for lots of gamers to afford. A new report is going around that Microsoft is ready to launch something called Xbox All Access that will put everything you need and want for gaming into one package deal. According to a report from Windows Central, Xbox All Access will be a subscription service that will give gamers an Xbox One S, Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Pass for $22 monthly for 24 months of payments.

Microsoft showed up at E3 2017 armed with its latest weapon in the console gaming wars. Formerly codenamed Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft claims that the Xbox One X is the most powerful console system ever, and certainly in terms of raw specifications, it sounds like it. The console packs some impressive technical specs, including a custom 16 nm, 8-core CPU, a GPU capable of pushing out 6 teraflops, 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM, and 1TB of hard drive space.

If you don’t like the Xbox One’s stock controllers, maybe it’s time to see what else is out there. You could certainly use a more stylish gamepad. The latest offering from Microsoft is the new Tech series, and the first in this line looks pretty tactical and cool. The Recon Tech Special Edition comes in a dark military grey, and adds some cool gold accents and insignias on the gamepad’s face, and rubberized grip areas on the back.

If you play on your Xbox One all day and night, then wake up and play some more! Microsoft has something just for you. It’s called the Xbox Onesie, an adult-sized pair of zip-up pajamas with an Xbox-theme.

Regular viewers of NFL games will immediately know that teams have been using Microsoft’s Surface tablets to track plays, take notes, and communicate during games. For fans of football and tablet computing, Microsoft has announced a series of covers which add functionality and let you show your team pride. The new Surface Special Edition NFL Type Covers are available for all 32 NFL teams, offering a big, bold logo on the outside, and a full-function keyboard and a large trackpad on the other side. The covers fit both Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 computers, and are available for $159.99(USD)

Can you imagine how immersive an experience it will be to watch movies in virtual reality? It will be like you are in the movie. We aren’t quite there yet, but augmented reality could also offer up some fun and entertaining movie experiences. Microsoft and Legendary are aiming for just such a thing.

While many of you are still waiting for your Xbox One S, someone has already turned his Xbox One S into a laptop. That didn’t take long at all. Expert modder Ed Zarick calls his build the Xbook One S.

Less than a day before E3 2016 Microsoft’s press conference, an image of the Xbox One Slim (aka Xbox One S) showed up on NeoGAF, and now it’s officially been confirmed. It definitely looks like it will be worth buying.

Microsoft’s Interactive 3D Technologies group recently showed us an example of how HoloLens and 3D scanning technology could revolutionize long distance communication. The group’s Holoportation concept is a supercharged version of video chat, letting you see the other party in life-size 3D in real time. Holoportation uses several 3D cameras to capture the subject(s), which can be still or moving.

Microsoft is now taking applications from software developers for the HoloLens Developer Edition, the beta version of its augmented reality computer. Yes, computer. The HoloLens doesn’t need to be connected to a PC to work because it is itself a Windows 10 computer.

We get it – four years is a long time to have the same laptop, especially with all the upgrades and new models available today. Thanks (or no thanks) to Microsoft, someday we could have clouds under the sea. The software giant recently shared details on what it calls Project Natick, an experiment about constructing and operating an underwater datacenter. The datacenter in these images is Project Natick’s prototype Leona Philpot, named after a character in the Halo universe.

I’m a fan of Snoop Dogg and while I like some of his music, it’s mostly for his zero f**ks given attitude. Snoop is apparently a gamer and he is tired of all Bill Gates’ bullsh*t.
