Researchers at the University of Leeds in the UK have invented some new batteries, that are smaller, cheaper, lighter and safer than current batteries. It’s also possible they will even last longer than what you presently have in your devices.
If you’re looking for a keyboard you can use with your iPad or other mobile gadget, but hate the idea of keyboards which can accidentally turn on and waste battery while in your bag, you might want to check out this invention.
I know only a handful of people who still haven’t seen Up. I think it’s one of the most creative, touching, and meaningful movies ever made (with a touch of quirkiness and a whole lot of cool on the side).
I’ve never been a huge fan of museums. They’re places chock full of priceless works of art and pieces, I know, but I’m a huge fan of interaction, and that’s not something you can really do in most cases, otherwise security will come stomping their way to you.
If you find yourself teetering and tottering around campus with a pile of books, while precariously balancing your iPad on top of the stack, then the BinderPad is for you. It will allow you to easily carry your beloved iPad around along with your school books.
There are only a few 3D movies that I’ve seen that were actually worth it. Most of the others were somewhat disappointing, but check out this PMP that’s supposed to do 3D without any glasses. It’s called the Gadmei P83 PMP from Marvel Digital, and hopefully it won’t harm your eyes when you use it, because we’ve all recently heard the (not so) shocking news that 3D isn’t good for your eyes.
While I admire LaCie’s efforts in designing good-looking hard drives, their new mobile Porsche drives look even better than most. The latest hard drives include the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile P’9220 and Desktop P’9230 Hard Drives.
I have to say that designboom’s recent competition to inspire new laptop and tablet devices for Fujitsu [JP] has included some pretty cool concepts. The latest to surface is this hybrid tablet that would have a compact fold-out keyboard that could work in either orientation.
Sometimes, all it takes to size an object up is one look. It doesn’t have to be a very long gaze or detailed inspection. And in the case of Sharp’s new AQUOS IS11H Phone, it just takes a second or two to glance at the images and know that these phones are geared towards Japanese women.
Yep, I was a bit skeptical when I read about this, but it’s true. Moodagent is an app by Syntonetic and it will automatically analyze your mood and play you a musical selection based upon what it assumes you’re feeling.
Frankly, I haven’t been all that impressed by Windows phones over the years. Even with the improvements in Windows Phone 7, I feel like the platform is a day late and a dollar short in comparison with Android and iOS.
Green gadgets are cool, though at times they get to be a bit out there. The sweet Sol Theater has to be one of my favorite green things I have seen lately. The little theater is built inside a small travel trailer that’s powered entirely by the sun.
Looking for a way to subliminally turn your toddlers into retro gaming fans, invading their dreams with visions of pixelated gaming icons from days-gone-by? Check out this fun mobile which features the characters from Pac-Man.

Apparently, climbers of the world’s tallest mountain can now get 3G web connectivity on top of Mount Everest. The peak is 17,000 feet above the surface of the earth and it’s so high up that most folks need extra oxygen to be able to function.
The Internet has been filled with rumors of Facebook working on their own mobile phones. Am I excited? Not really. I doubt that they’ll come up with anything novel. Still, it remains to be seen what the 4.9-billion-dollar man, Mark Zuckerberg, has up his platinum and diamond-encrusted sleeves.
